Ramen from a popular shop on “Tokyo Ramen Street” at First Avenue Tokyo Station. This tasted so good I unironically cleared the entire bowl in like 2 minutes. I had to wait for my family to finish their food.

Ramen so good I could get Monster Hunter buffs from it.

And just like that, I guess I am actually finally done playing Monster Hunter: World (Iceborne). I used to despise Alatreon but this victory helped it grow on me a little; still not a big fan of all 3 DPS checks, but its moveset admittedly kicks ass.

If Monster Hunter helped me realize anything, it is that I need to play more boss rush games because they are peak content. Around half of this playtime was just me and co. preparing for Fatalis, and we still have stuff to do even after slaying him.

Just beat Fatalis, the final superboss of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, for the first time ever. Easily the absolute HARDEST yet FUN boss I have EVER fought in a video game EVER. MF genuinely makes FromSoft bosses blush in direct comparison, and you get 4 free revives too.

Okay so imagine you enter a MR Pink Rathian investigation and your teammate suddenly says that there is a bit of an elephant in the room. This elephant in the room proceeds to slam Pink Rathian into the ground for 4k damage and then suddenly sprint towards our direction at Mach speed.

MORE Bloodborne posting. So far the boss lineup has been great, except for one: The Witch of Hemwick. All she does is: be invisible, spawn goon, fake death, spawn more goons, die. Felt like those weird dreams I get where shit just keeps being roundabout but somehow ends up coming together anyway.

More Bloodborne posting. Saw Cleaver and Ludwig’s Holy Blade are honest to god the coolest weapon designs I have EVER seen. The whole concept of trick weapons should have been reused in later games, why the FUCK did Fromsoft go this goddamn hard for an IP they do not even own?????

Just tried playing Bloodborne for the first real time ever today. The first boss can literally either be dodged around for 10 minutes, parried in 1, or even made significantly easier with a quest item if you really need the help that badly. Unironically peak game design, I love it.

ALSO been playing a LOT of Slay The Spire 2. In just under 100 hours, I have reached Ascension 10 (highest difficulty available so far) with all characters, and beaten it with one. Oh yeah, it is all coming together.

Would also like to shoutout the Arrow Keys and Improved Perfect Guard mods for Lies of P, without arrow keys I literally would not be able to play the game, and the improved perfect guard makes the combat feel a lot more Sekiro-like and reactive over predictive without trivializing anything.

Finished Expedition 33. Man what an experience, could not recommend it enough to literally anybody whether they like JRPGs, souls-likes, or even just parrying. 100% deserved every award it has received so far, including GOTY. Genuinely looking forward to what these devs make next.

And that is the DLC done. I actually really liked this final boss, it felt like a modern reimagining of Gravelord Nito from DS1 (missed opportunity to make him a night boss). Overall decent game 7/10, I literally have nothing left to do besides remembrances and the occasional late night VC hangout.

Also been playing a lot of Monster Hunter Wilds lately, so far been loving it, my only real gripe is how weak poison builds seem. The FF14 Crossover Monster might unironically be the hardest boss fight I have EVER encountered in a video game, and to think it has an even harder variant too.

Alright alright that is now Everdark Gladius and Everdark Fulghor down. Honestly Everdark Gladius might have become my 2nd favorite boss, Normal Gladius already felt designed to face each Nightfarer equally, but DAMN. Everdark Fulghor just felt alright, I think I still prefer his normal form.

Been playing lots of Nightreign lately. Beat every main expedition solo save for the DLC and presumed final one, so now I will be taking the time to catch my party up. I think the game is alright, and being able to play as John Sekiro definitely helps me enjoy it more.
