Dr. Székely @chestradiologist.bsky.social · 04/03/2025It is not often that I encounter such a massive #pneumonia that nicely outlines the fissures 020
Dr. Székely @chestradiologist.bsky.social · 17/02/2025On Saturday I'm giving a talk on atypical pneumonias at the National Korányi Institute of Pulmonology in Budapest. This is a a snapshot from part I about zoonotic and non zoonotic bacterial infections. It was a long journey compiling this talk, but it was worth it :) 000

Dr. Székely @chestradiologist.bsky.social · 04/01/2025I have found this article on a different social site with the caption "I am a radiologist, not a magician!" and how fitting this title is, because diagnostic errors in radiology do occur but if we are aware of them, we can minimize their number and impact: www.ejradiology.com/article/S072...ejradiology.comDEFINE_ME 000

Dr. Székely @chestradiologist.bsky.social · 04/12/2024The title of these images should be...the missed lung nodule. As a peer-reviewer these are the type of lesions that I am on the lookout for #chest #radiology #peerreview #nodule #lungcancer 010

Dr. Székely @chestradiologist.bsky.social · 27/11/2024Interstitial lung abnormalities (seen here as subpleural retuculations) are a recently recognized type of #HRCT lesions which may or may not progress to #lung #fibrosis. In a case such as this a pulmonology consult and a follow-up CT is necessary. #dailydoseofchestradiology 010

Dr. Székely @chestradiologist.bsky.social · 25/11/2024I regularly do second reading of #chest #radiographs at my department. One of the most common recurring mistakes are missed #nodules in the upper thirds of the lung - sometimes up to 2cm in diameter. These do not nessearily represent #lung #cancer but who is to judge based on a plain film image? 031
