Analogue usually announces things on Oct 16 or something. Hope they do this year too.

Switch Sports Resort looks like a good time. That’s something I’ll pick up.

I’ve recen become hooked on Taskmaster. I’m so happy there’s so many. Perfect for the train.

People who get up at noon and go for drinks at 5pm is like me getting up at 4am (as one does) and having a beer at 9am, yeah? 朝ビール in a bit?

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

This came today. Hopefully time to check it out soon.

Got around to preordering FF7 Revalation. Prob my last physical new game? Need to complete the set.

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Even though I’m not planning on getting it, it’s pretty crazy the OoT remake comes out in a month.

020

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Picking only nine albums is incredibly hard. I tried my best.

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Great day. Nothing extraordinary, just great.

000

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Fortune’s Weave I think has clicked for me. Last battle I actually had to rewind a few times. I feel I understand most systems.

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Picked up Threatrhythm deluxe edition for Switch for my flight home, but it didn’t download in time, and even if it did, plane didn’t have a usb c port. Played some tonight and love revisiting Bravely Default, Chrono Cross and more.

I do love Paris, but man is it good to be home.

010

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Who Framed Roger Rabit and Project Hail Mary so far watched. Little more than 8 more hours. Think we‘re above Armenia.

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Maybe it’s because im on a plane, but I’m not really digging with the gameplay loop of Fortune’s Weave, or perhaps not getting it 100%. I’m buying lots of gifts.

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

15 hour flight means lots of movies and games. Watched Super Mario Galaxy for the first time (went with Japanese dub). Amazing exactly what I wanted and more.

Love to reread Tonoharu at least once a year. Wonder if 2026 ALTS can relate to it. Guessing the introvertedness of the main character wouldn’t go over well today.

Street Pass was the best of times. My 90 minute commute (both ways) got me like 30 a day usually. Dragon Quest XI was probably the pinnacle for me.

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

My top 9 games, excluding RPGs and heavy story games.

My SN Operator should ship soon. Getting it for what I wished my Super NT would do: back up saves and take screenshots. Hopefully it weirdly compliments it. Kind of cool I can hook it up to my iPhone.

Mosquito in bedroom and I can’t find it. Infuriating. Poor little bud sleeps on.

Couldn’t get a Blue Hearts record, but just reserved a High Lows one.

Paris next week. Going in an out for a two day workshop, which‘ll take five days away from home. Hopefully the airport has nice stuff.

Reminder that Triangle Strategy was a great game.

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

I think I’ve played 4-5 hours of fortune’s weave and while I do love it, it’s weird that I’ve done so few actual battles, and they’ve all felt like tutorials or just super easy. I get the feeling the game will change that soon though.

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Drove to Harumi on and off the highways. very scenic, and a little scary. The roads do things they don’t usually do. At a convenience store somewhere in Itabashi now.

I’m loving Fortune‘s Weave. So happy to be really into a video game again.

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I hope when Chrono Trigger is inevitably rereleased, it is a straight port. Don’t need HD-2D, the FF7 trilogy or anything inbetween. I feel Chrono Trigger 2 is more likely than Chrono Break to comectoo, but all based on nothingness.

000

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Lufia 2 (and 7th Saga) were the reasons I bought a Super Nt. Never thought it wiild get a rerelease. Amazing. 7th Saga never will, so that amazing soundtrack is always mine.

This album is a great rainy day record.

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

There‘sveen a few things in the beginning of the Fire Emblem that were a little weird I thought, but its so nice having such a high quality Fire Emblem game, despite the quirks.

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Thinking of buying fancy beer at Tokyo Station. You know, for my wife and me. I’m never at Tokyo Station. @jljzen.bsky.social gave me a good tip.

Played Layton, hung out with @toomanywires.bsky.social, met work colleagues and former work colleagues, looked at vinyl and t-shirts I don’t want. It’s time to go home.

I like the Musashino Line and any line that isn’t going directly into Tokyo, but around the periphery.

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

About to leave for TGS, I notice the card case with my resident card, drivers license and credit card is missing. Luckily was at the supermarket, but was in full panic. AirTags have been ordered.

010

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Not sure what game system I’ll bring tomorrow to TGS. DS Lite or Switch Lite I think.

000

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Fire Emblem hasn’t arrived yet. Thats a little silly.

100

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

There was a time I was listening to Hind’s Hall and Hind’s Hall 2 non-stop. So weird that Hind’s Hall is getting big now with the Edしらん thing. Also, the fuck I’m not voting for Kamala lyrics possibly didn’t age well. Maybe some feel different.

2,000 yen from Tower Records. That’s a steal.

Didnt wake up for the quake last night.

200

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Fire Emblem day, but prob no time until son is asleep tomorrow night. Will be glorious then.

000

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

@sdxgames.bsky.social Would be awesome if you guys released a physical version of Terrangima/天地創造 in Japan.

000

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Need to clean up and find a place to put them. Really think they look great though, and I hope the rest are released too.

010

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Reading young fans of FFVII on Twitter and if only they knew half my playtime was probably snowboarding and figuring out how to get Knights of the Round. Then there’s the play through where I thought Great Gospel would get me something. Discussion is so narrative based.

Chris @chestnutvinegar.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

I charged up my wine red DSi LL last night. I should play through the beginning of the first Layton tonight with a glass of wine. Red.
