new blog post! it's something that I've wanted to write about for a while now, but it took me some time to find the motivation to start writing again lowercasedc.wordpress.com/2025/02/16/o... (cant believe the last time i wrote was in 2023!)

On weddings

I’ve always wanted a small wedding. Just our immediate families and closest friends, in a beautiful yet cozy venue. Formally dressed for sure, but it should still feel like a casual gathering…

i feel u. monetizing on web is hard. if it's not ads, it's either subscriptions or sponsors. most users hate both ads and subscriptions. sponsors are a great middle ground, but it's so hard to secure sponsors consistently long term 🥲

love it tbh lowkey genius he raised a great point too about the hefty price tags of fancy new drippers, which are becoming increasingly unaffordable in countries with lower purchasing power

my latest mini project is live! introducing fieldsofchess.com — a microsite that generates posters based on the moves of any chess game chess is truly a beautiful game ♔

as a web dev, i prefer inter simply because its a free webfont. which guarantees that my site uses the same font on all platforms whereas for helvetica I'm sure u could purchase the webfont license somewhere but that's probably out of budget for 99% of projects 🙃
