I got this absolutely stunning art of my own cat in the Ophelia slop courtesy of @cheshsyn.bsky.social who 1000% knocked it out of the park! I adore this, I want to somehow print this on a giant canvas and stare at it all day. Absolutely lovely, thank you so much ;w;

Sometimes you just have to draw some fanart for a 100 year old book because it is just that insane. Shoutout to the book Demian which I read to my roommate who got increasingly concerned the more of the story she heard.

A faux cover for the book Demian by Hermann Hesse. Emil Sinclair, a blond man with glasses, leans against Max Demian and Frau Eva whose faces are shrouded in darkness. Wings emerge from Sinclair's back and a blue snake loosely coils around him as Frau Eva cards through the feathers on one wing and Demian rests a hand on Sinclairs neck, pulling him to them.
Sinclair is illuminated by strong, warm light but transitions into shadow where he leans into the Demians.

Oops I realized I never shared the finished version of this A lone guy and his rat in a towering, decrepit city of Magic and fake Light. What could go wrong?

the creature watches #art

Digital Art. A creature in shadow, humanoid and gangly with two twisted horns and two big almost hand shaped wings unfurling around it, crouches on a rock in front of a bright red light that fills most of the canvas. The creature is seen only as silhouette except for the two giant red eyes on it's wings and a single one in its face staring at the viewer.
The rest of the picture is rendered in simple blues and purples and composed of strips of colour pointing towards the sun and the creature without much detail.

Time for another reference dump! This zip file contains 2,566 photos (6.58 GB) from the Metropolitan Museum of Art arms and armor collection. I tried to focus on the types of details you don't see in most available reference, like hinges and fasteners. Enjoy! drive.google.com/file/d/1emF3...

A shot of an eggplant-shaped samurai helmet sitting on a wooden stand in a museum display case. It's made of darkened metal and has gold trim and accents.

A closeup shot of some buttons, fasteners, and ties on a small section of a samurai armor set's front chest plate. There are various ornate patterns, complex knots, and overlapping pieces.

A closeup shot of the thumb and forefinger of a European steel gauntlet inlaid with gold. It has bronze rivets and a white leather glove under the overlapping finger armor pieces.

A closeup shot of an extremely ornate double barreled shotgun's firing mechanism and trigger. The hammers are shaped like squirrels holding nuts and there is floral filigree everywhere.

WIP Really trying to get into the habit of including actual backgrounds. It's such a large field of study, but it's also surprisingly fun to fill an environment with life : D

A digital painting of a young man sitting on the railing of a small, grimey bridge. He's looking over a claustrophobic city scape where the buildings seem to rise up forever. It's dark. The only lights come from red lanterns above him and a neon sign attached to his jacket that reads 'Til Death'.

Oh dearest knight, what have you done? [ #oc #knight ]

An Art-Noveau Style digital drawing of an elven lady with blond hair in a grown out bob. Her expression is melancholic and she seems tired, though her makeup is clearly applied with great care. She's wearing a full set of white plate armor with gold honeycomb and flower accents. From her right eye, a bit of honeycomb emerges and a few bees can be seen flying out from it.

Chapter 35 of The Silt Verses has arrived! As Hayward and Carpenter begin their long journey to Glottage, Faulkner receives High Katabasian Roemont at the Paraclete's Gulch and prepares to be accepted - at long last - as an elder of the faith. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/c...

A young man (presumably Faulkner) sits on a throne-like chair at the top of stone steps. He looks thoughtful or dejected. An orange halo surrounds him.

The quote below reads, “Get the words right, and the river itself will dance to your command.” - FAULKNER
