Left: Why we have a #NationalDayforTruthandReconciliation #MyGrandmothers #Survivors Right: Why we need one. How many unmarked graves are there out there for those who’ve served this country in armed conflicts? I’d never dream of asking for their bones to acknowledge their sacrifice!

Sounds delish! I’ll bring you some homemade Island Maple syrup next time I’m home. We make it theeeeeee old ways.

Cast iron pots filled with Maple Sap ready to boil

💯 %. I’m richer by their wisdom Everytime I’m with them. One of my absolute fave time this past year was the Elders Gathering in Edmonton. One whole week with 13 Elders from my Nation!

Yes, I actually got to talk to her once and found out that she was good friends with my grandmother. She spoke very fondly of her.

Hey Alberta, if you need to photocopy your driver’s license or ID to send with your mail in referendum ballots, your local library can help with that.

That and access to public bathrooms. As someone who does have a home, it’s even challenging for me to find washroom that you don’t need a key, code or buzzer to access. Someone must seem me worthy of that access.

Yes. She was a force! Hope they still find a way to get her documentary out there. Is was so close to being done. Saw a rough cut and it was phenomenal.

My sis thought I was scared of them. I was scared of stepping on them. They were almost plague like at night!

Was my summer of horrors on Manitoulin at our camp. Not afraid of them…was afraid of stepping on them! My nephew did and it wasn’t pretty. #ScaryTripsToOuthouse 😱

Love that when I drop in on my little niece, and ask if we can bring her anything and she says “bannock supplies” 🥰 Her Grandpa taught her this summer and now she’s a little bannock queen! #raisedintheways
