Watched the soulless neighbors who are suing mom's ghost intentionally hit a snapping turtle today b/c I was running down the side of the road to move it. It lived, fuckers - wandered off into the woods when I moved him across. No bleeding - a little gimpy on a back leg. It'll do fine.

My mom passed a month ago and I inherited her house in another state so - it's a process and now I have a mortgage and all the bills associated with a house while trying to get established and changing course from a traveling renaissance festival worker to home (!) worker (local markets/ festivals)

This is why the yarn auction tonight. I have a chance at not being homeless anymore, after 12 years. I'm 51 and insulin dependent - I cannot live in struggle anymore. I just want to be OK, not rich. I inherited a house - and the debt. I have a plan I just need to get through winter.

A girl just came to my door saying her car broke down on the md/ de line and was looking for a ride into town. My gut said something isn't right and so I told her I couldn't help her. She would have had to walk nearly 2 miles to reach my house from the line and there are other houses in between...

I need to get an altar set up to get my neighbors houses sold. I need cool neighbors to buy the chicken/ pot farm next door so I can get a job in the greenhouse. A friend of mine is planning several de-stash yarn sales/ auctions to help me recover income I've lost this season while I took care of mom, settle her estate and get the house cleaned for life/ work I'll be paying the shipping out of the funds raised so that she doesn't have to bear that burden.

Starting to move all of the craft supplies and crafting tools out of the center of the room. Last weekend proved it no longer rains through the ceiling so I feel ok about starting to organize all of this. I have not moved the yarn in yet.

I have missed the mocking birds here who live in the back fenced yard. Just caught one fighting with its own reflection in my truck. 😂🙄 Reminds me, I need to find my feeders and get some seed. Then I need to find windows to put the feeders so the cats and I can see the birds.

Replacing this with a normal tub/shower is high on my list. My body can't keep doing the mid-thigh high step to get in. I have a smaller version of this footed tub in an outbuilding. Might make that into an outdoor hillbilly hot tub.

I tried to move the TV from under the stairs but it's too heavy for me to do alone (I could with a rolling chair but it's risky) so R will help next time he's home. Then I can start moving my altar from upstairs We still need to swap out the bedroom dressers so I have someplace to put my clothes.

Yesterday I puttered in the house enough to get most of the extra furniture out of the living room. I pulled out one carpet and I'm not sure how to get the other off the floor but I bet it's ruined the hardwood floor underneath. Mom had nailed one carpet over another so there are still nails. 🙄

I've been running background videos on refining at home without chemicals using only fire and that seems to be a very doable thing for me. I have plenty of scrap metals that I can smelt down into other things. I also know plenty of blacksmiths.

Looks like the universe or my mom is talking to me again. Also looks like I'm building a foundry to refine/ smelt my own jewelry. I've found a pickle pot, solder tools - everything I need except the furnace, crucible, capels ... probably about $600 - 800 worth of equipment and fuel.
