Maybe I did try to get help multiple times and that help just doesn't cater to my own needs which don't even feel like autism things, idk

CherryT! @cherryterrier.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I hate having to unrecommend more autism YouTubers but when one says something dumb like "refusing support is a form of self ableism" that's where I'm thinking haha ok. Fed up of language policing too, like any other words we shouldn't use on people with complex needs and just tldr on that?

A fine art of looking through old blender files from as far back as 2017, looking at how awful your own modelling (???) was and thinking to start from scratch. Also uh why imported models eg Rayman 2 ones so hot Barbie pink??

Apparently discogs also lists audio books so I looked up Rainbow which I have a Rambo cassette of... What the fresh hell man? You know, Airwolf. For kids!

Screenshot of an Airwolf children's audiobook cassette being listed on discogs

If they can do something to improve the biscoff one in the near future that would be pretty sound because that particular special put me off Gregg's coffee for a fair bit

Today is a day off work for a friend's birthday do in the city and already starting it with trying the pumpkin spice from Greggs. Entire recipe has changed and it's certainly a bit more pumpkiny. For some reason they've added salted caramel drizzle on top. It's an improvement for sure.

It's been a good while since I've felt this giddy, we've just booked a holiday to Amsterdam to go in November/December and it's the first holiday abroad we'll be going since 2018.

It's an acquired taste for sure and it depends who makes it these days, Greggs is sweeter because they straight up used a flavoured syrup and even those vary from place to place

Apparently they have Mr Kipling in north America and lol putting an SVG of the big Ben on all these products to assert that the British folk love these exceedingly good cakes is adorable. NGL though anytime we've had the limited editions that had extra cinnamon exceed the good in apple pies

I'd love to know what the latest ADHD vs the NHS proposal is gonna mean for people already years on the waiting list. It already sounds like the way you start talking therapies where they make you do the phq and gad9s, and then see where you go from there. Awful awful awful.

I much prefer the brush tips so at best I could slowly get the chunky square ones swapped but that's another job for another time I think

With all that said about copic markers I don't think mine will be going anytime soon, in fact there's four colours I don't have... With the right paper they're still fun to work with. Though I better try and find out what that thing I was doing in clip where I had a similar texture...

I am aware that markers in general are not really even supposed to be lightfast or archival and meant for quick illustration but I coulda been told all that back in the mid 2000s...

CherryT! @cherryterrier.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Yikes it seems like blues are hit the hardest with eventual light fading; left is the old chart while right is the new one I'm doing today

A comparison of two copic marker charts I filled in showing the fluorescents and showing some degrees of light fading; left one was done in the mid 2010s while right is today

CherryT! @cherryterrier.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Over a decade ago I filled out a copic marker chart and that now seems like some colours have faded from that bit of paper over time so printing and filling out a new one as I've been colouring with them again and my chart was not matching freshly laid ink...

I'm glad the evidence of autism being genetic is clearer and clearer but it still frustrates me on how people my age masked so well that they only meet the criteria for diagnosis now and that I grew up being made to feel singled out as -the- SEN kid of the class... 😞

It's not to say the original franchise artwork was consistent in its own right but that's what you get when you do get different artists with different skill sets. One of those did background art for the TV show Knightmare beforehand and those cover artworks he did showed.

120

CherryT! @cherryterrier.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Sorry to keep harping on about this but if my memory serves me I can't even think of more than 10 artists that did all the original artwork, much of it was oldskool airbrush and THAT'S what you call painstaking

210

CherryT! @cherryterrier.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

You know what I should just have a crack at doing new Pond artwork especially with the marker art style that some of the slop was done over Maybe even learn to use Deluxe Paint on WinUAE just to give even more of a middle finger to slop I just can't buy "20 artists in two years"

"Tina Tuna" is actually supposed to be Angel Fish from Pond 3 and if I remember right she was Pond's girlfriend (the most unbond thing possible lol) and one of the three agents you had to rescue

Apparently that was something to do with the exact position of the vector nodes and i had to jog them every so slightly in blender but...I think I better try something more simple if I'm to learn to rig; the kind of art I do may be more suited to frame by frame.
