the camp miasma art in question

illustrated alt film poster featuring various character ink portraits of Billy, Kris, young Billy and Little Death. the colour scheme is mostly dark pinks, black, and reds, with some greyish blue and white highlights. The background is the same scratchy square pattern as Billy's little death art

ART (not sure if this was intentional but it's perfect either way)

cinematography in pluribus is so good it's making me want to do drawing studies 😤

a guy filling up a car, shot from mouse level, very cool angle. surrounded by lush foresty shrubbery

Dark house interior, lone woman staring at a static tv from afar framed by many other doorways, very ominous she is so alone

same woman asleep with face in focus close to camera and rest of the room seen out of focus through an empty wine glass. dreamy

different guy sitting at a desk, framed within a single window pane of a much larger window. Shot from exterior at night looking in. richest hotel. blue swimming pool bouncing pretty blue light everywhere

seems like some positive things in here that actually outline how to support & include trans+ young people. rather than the opposite. not sure which bits have been revised tho

Paraphrasing: 'good practice -
. Respect young person's right to privacy.
. Being trans is not a child protection issue or wellbeing concern in itself.
. Young ppl should be involved in decisions that affect them'

Paraphrasing: 'trans inclusion & visibility -
Research shows that LGBTQ young ppl would feel safer & more supported in education if their identities were reflected in the life of the school. Understanding equalities & diversity is also important for all learners'

Paraphrasing: 'the best approach is to ensure trans identities & experiences are explicit within subject-specific experiences & outcomes'

#ipswich ! free to a good home (in a pub) 🍻

Photo of a printed beer mat/coaster inspired by ITFC colours/symbols. The coaster says DID YOU KNOW?' on the front and has a pub quiz-style 'true or false' question on that back that is actually busting a myth about asylum seekers & immigration

same beer mat but one side is more visible

my version of touching grass was to make a goose x

photo of a punch-needled bag on my shoulder, except the bag is shaped like a small white cartoony goose, a bit angry as all geese are, with a pink carton made of felt that says 'silly goose juice' attached to an O ring necklace around its neck (plus a carabiner for extra gayness)

very hard not to look at this and ask why the neo-n4zi groups haven't ALREADY been proscribed, as they sound like actual threats to public safety(?) rather than getting a free pass until they can be used in a pathetic ultimatum like this

Poster says
'EHRC? leave us be!
Let's fill in the consultation form together irl

Ipswich Community drop-in
Fri 27 June at St stephens, 3pm-5pm

Reminder
Have your say!
Push back against the EHRC's proposed code of practice changes. stand up for trans rights!

What is it?
EHRC's proposed 'code of practice' changes could restrict access to facilities & spaces for trans+ folks & attempt to enforce stricter gender norms that harm us all.

Bring a laptop, or phone or tablet (with Internet access & wi-fi) to fill in the consultation during the drop-in. Takes 10 mins - 1 hour
