My best Cooper's Hawk photo. Literally took years to get it and a lot of luck. Still not great, but it's the best my phone could do. I wish I had a real camera. Often my eyes see better than my camera does when it comes to distant things. #birdofprey #hawk

Janie Socks. The grumpy floof. In this chaos in America that I do not support, here's one of our rescued cats. Often we just need to take our minds off of our troubles and see something or someone lovely...even if she doesn't like to be petted. #cats

Just finished this today. Took me five tries to do this right and it was worth it! Turned out so cute. I'd be happy to share this design with anyone who wants to try it. Once I figured it out, it wasn't hard to do. No, I'm not gay before you ask. #LBGQ+ #crafting #crochet

I really want to know why Congress hasn’t employed the law of Amendment 14 Article 3 for Trump. Under this article Trump cannot legally be president…which means Congress is breaking the law too. Why is this being allowed to happen? #goverment

One year later and I’m still loving my Fire tablet. Still want to try a Kindle for comparison. Best part is the larger print.

Reclaimed a book I gifted years ago. It was a bargain for a short time so I jumped on it. Wanted to get it anyway. Totally recommend it. It’s about a girl way back in the past during her life and after she died and existed as a spirit. That much I can remember…that and I enjoyed the story.

I'm deliberately not serious. With so much crap going on, I think it's best to help people take a break. So, I pretend I don't care and post random whatever that has nothing to do with politics. #Icare

Old still life from the early 2000s. Drawn from life. #tradionalart

The Grey. Literally just something totally random that showed up in my brain for absolutely no reason. But I liked it, so I drew it. #art #digitalart

What a lucky find this was! A kind of wasp imitating moth and I had no problem recognizing this lovely creature as a moth right away even though I've never seen one before. I didn't have my camera on me at first, went to get it and what luck! Still there! One of my prized photos. #moths #insects

One of my older drawings from the 1980s. Since it's so faded I plan to someday digitally redraw it as is. I was not a good artist back then, but I didn't let that stop me. Years of passionate work paid off. Look at what I can do now! Still the kiddie crap is worth preserving. #art

Janie Socks and Honey. Janie Socks appears to be dozing off and caused me to worry about her health until she looked up at me. #cats She’s fine.

I don’t know why but I’m having trouble accessing certain social media sites with my laptop, which makes it difficult to submit some of my photos and artwork. So, if you would like to see more of what I have you can find me on DeviantART under CherokeeGal1975.

My name is Meriah. Hi. 👋 I am an artist and I was a writer until I realized that my material kept repeating itself. I’m also used to be good at crafting until it got too expensive. Now I struggle to find time to be creative at all, but hopefully someday I’ll be able to get back to it.

By the same author who wrote The Named series, but this is for adults instead. Some unusual story elements, and nothing is clearly black and white as far as characters. I recommend the book and I enjoyed reading it again.

This is the first book on a decent trilogy. There are bits I didn’t care for, but overall it’s a good series. Not one of my normal picks but I was exploring outside of my comfort zone. Still recommend it.

The Horsemistress Saga trilogy is a good series. My only complaint is that it doesn’t come in audio. Honestly I think if someone wanted to make this into a mini series it would do well. Bought all three on Kindle because I wanted the larger print. Totally recommend the series.

This book probably isn’t for everyone, but I enjoyed the story. It is long enough to become a bit of a slog to get through, but I felt that it was worth it. Liked the artwork too. Looking forward to listening to the audiobook when I can afford it. I recommend it.
