You are right, a doom glance is more than enough. Enjoy your woodpecker, we get a Pileated Woodpecker quite regularly and they are very serious workers. Also, he only pecked the dead trunk, no tree was harmed in the making of this video.

I work in a friend’s shop, she is a wool/felt artist. She did a wool orange pumpkin that looks incredibly like tRump, we leave a needle in it, I came in one morning, the needle had been stabbed in the eye, deeply in the eye. I watch our American tourists stand there taking turns at stabbing it.
