So... I've passively looked for Tajin for 7 months and it's simply not in any stores near me lol But a friend's Costco has it, and they gave me a jar to take home. I learned some of its history and figured out a recipe that works for me and the ingredients I have on hand ❤️

Small bowl on the left, and a jar on the right, of light brown chili lime seasoning. The jar is the one with authentic Tajin. There's a half teaspoon measuring spoon in the background, as well as some spice bottles & caps.

Recipe:
* 1 part fine salt
* 1 part citric acid
* 2 parts gochugaru
* 1 part cayenne pepper

Sumac or dehydrated lime zest would probably work if you don't have citric acid. And any kind of chili powder will probably work fine if you don't have gochugaru.
