Buck a ride is the worst thing to do right now to "fix transit". This is inducing demand when you dont have enough drivers, buses, or trains running currently. And then you are not being truthful for how you would plug the fiscal hole, which would need be through property taxes.

Not to be rude, but the fact that the lens you use is whether the economy matters, instead of whether rule of law, or blatant open corruption, or shocking democratic backsliding, or just common human decency matters....is concerning.

What is with the constant race to the bottom with taxes. Taxes are the cost of having a functioning society. If you're curious, ask your team to do an analysis of the correlation between the least taxed/limited government countries in the world and quality of life for citizens.

Ok I get your question. So the picures are accurate, it was of the far side that we cant see from earth. But at moment of picture, was facing the sun. Think when you have your day, but sometimes you can still see the moon out. So that far side of the moon is facing the sun, and is illuminated.

If it is night time for you and you are looking up at a bright moon, then the sun is behind the earth (not the moon) so yes the other side of the moon at that moment of time would be dark. It is the sun, behind the earth, that is shinning on the moon that you are looking at making it bright.

It takes priviledge to have the time and luxery to think that historically things were better in the past. My Nana (Italian immigrant who came on a boat) lived through the depression, watched her younger brother starve, and lost her family house. Things not perfect, but historically much better.

Cancer and dementia are by and large "old people" diseases. And since life expectancy has increased exponentially in the last 80 years, so have those illnesses, on average.

Be honest with the public. We know the economy needs to be reioriented from North-South to East-West which means investing in big infrastructure. We know that military funding needs to be drastically increased. We know that a recession is likely. Now is not the time to reduce government revenue.
