Picture doesn't really do justice to how good Tech Core looks in person. Such rich and vibrant color.

He was misquoted. He meant there will be 3 days total of work a week for everyone and there will be one family with an income (his). He gave this interview next to a fireplace that burns poor people instead of wood.

Random Thought: Futuristic setting where all the cultural mainstays the AI Bros are obsessed with have fallen out of common use because the AI bros pillaged it into oblivion but those AI bros are racist and won't touch certain other cultures so art and media drifts towards those as the mainstream.

Bonus points, second episode is the MC spiraling into gambling addiction almost immediately upon starting. It does NOT present this activity as something carefree that you should frolic into.

Infuse Vitality on a Holy character can be one of the best spells in #pathfinder2e even at R1. Case it point my party fought velstracs today and I had been able to put that on all our melee folks. One Rank 1 spell, counting the weakness damage and shutting off regen by the end of the fight it...

In fact INT also has Society which covers TONS of topics. One could argue Arcana, Nature, and Occultism, and Religion are around the some usefulness as each other (with Religion being a little better) but Crafting & Society cover a TON of plot stuff.

cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Crafting is also bashed a bunch because the act of crafting was kinda iffy at release. Yet it's also one of the more broadly useful skills for Recall Knowledge in gameplay because it covers materials, mundane crafted things, can appraise items, and with one feat can identify magic items.

cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
No INT class can be bad in PF2e/SF2e it's not possible. Any tier list should require a footnote of "We aren't factoring in how good INT is for this." and any evaluation of INT classes should start "It's an INT class so it's already really great but that aside."
020
cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
I think we can all agree that with even more INT support in Tech Core & Infernal Inheritance on top of all there already was, it would be hogwash to rate any INT class (or class that can use INT for class aspects) anywhere near the bottom of a list like that old #pathfinder2e community poll did.

Super Psychic Policeman Chojo is giving me the vibes of a series that would have existed in the universe of Bakuman, as a successful manga of a supporting character and some of the other characters poke at it for being derivative but compliment the character on making it still decent.

Plus with making new classes that risks angering people that wanna play WoW with DnD stuff. "Dang why isn't Warrior just a fighter subclass?" We get this in PF2e ffs. So they play safe and plug WoW stuff into existing stuff and avoid the loud cries of "I wanted to play WoW warrior as a fighter!"
020
cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 06/10/2026
Classes take more work, because then you gotta do a bunch of subclasses. But it doesn't necessarily sell for more dollarydos. People might not like the class, but you know they like existing class. So in sort it's likely because of corporate, not the designers.

cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 06/10/2026
as a simple core with expansion packs you could buy. Which they kinda initially abandoned and then brought back via DnD Beyond and are veering more towards now. "Buy this fighter pack for a new subclass!" seems to marketing bros as more sound than "Buy this new class."

cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 06/10/2026
Pathfinder 2e is very similar to this basic idea with feats and spell disciplines and archetypes giving access to feat pools. DnD however morphed this into not designing more classes and plugging options into them. Which is moreso a byproduct of early design intentions of building 5e

It's the 4e trauma of that edition "underperforming" and literally based around the one thing they most regretted about 4e: Tons of classes with exclusive power lists. They said way back years ago that in hindsight they'd have made powers sorted by source not class and have the classes pick

Not including low effort slop of course It just... it's two movies of differing quality, tone, and style and they keep cutting between them and ruining the pacing and it was so grating. Grudge 2 was the first one's style done wrong.

The first American Grudge movie is decent but a bit slow and quiet so don't watch it when sleepy (I first watched it while sleep deprived and those were some confusing naps) The Grudge 2 (American version) is probably one of the most frustratingly bad movies I have ever seen.

Roar and run in and AOE Fear. Grabbing a Macuahuitl can let you run in, smack, and use the tearing trait to unleash Horrifying Blood Loss for that AoE fear. But if your team has bleed effects you might not need that weapon.
000
cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
And remember, your goal is spamming fear anyway. You're going have better than baseline defenses a lot because Towering gives your fear effects acc against adjacent things and bugbears get a LOT of Demoralize stuff Eventually Battle Crying will set up just running in there with net +2 fear accuracy
100
cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Of course, if you aren't committed to going STR build, going STR, CHA, DEX and then into DEX build is okay. Bugbear has 10 HP from ancestry. So for that can make up for CON+1 until 3rd where you can grab Toughness to help and get to 5th to pop a point in CON. Rogues don't have high HP either.
100
cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
and lead you to Dread Striker to benefit from that fact you'll be spamming fear. Though eventually you might retrain that once you can nab Gang Up. Spirit Warrior is just real solid for getting two attacks in one action after casting and a few other things.

Because you got a helping hand you became a good guy, but you past misdeeds might come back to haunt you. And what cursed you with the battle oracle thing? From here if you want to optimize I would go Rogue or Spirit Warrior archetype at 2nd. The former will make up the skills and feat you lost...

cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
For a sample bugbear build we're going for the second thing with the Amnesiac background. You're a bugbear that lost their memory but you're haunted by the sounds of battle and smell forever of blood and metal. We're Son Goku'ing this @#$% You were a bad guy and got a bonk that blanked you.
100
cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Then your four free to STR, DEX, CON, and CHA Leaving you with 3, 3, 1, 4. So that studded leather option just gives you the full 5 AC you want with armor. Plus you get all the variety of attacking and skill options and no need to invest in things to get more armor.
100
cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Those are totally balanced because you give up a LOT for just a boost. This also assumes the GM realizes that & lets you put it where you'd want it. If you do that, roleplay the background of course. Don't do this just for the scores. And you can put both the ancestry & BG boosts to STR, CHA, DEX
100
cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
... AC when it was in the tier of curse it was getting buffs, but had struck to mitigate it. Except with slightly better saves and now windows of -2 to all defenses. Another possible solution requires the GM let you use a rare background that sacrifices skills and skill feats for three boosts.
100
cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
With the Studded Leather and DEX +1 you'll be the AC of a Wiz/Sorc that hasn't used Mystic Armor. Then the moment you level change to the Breastplate. Old battle oracle curse would have you walking around with flashes of defense worse than the Studded and the Breastplate matches old BOracle...
100
cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Well if you are willing to play like a Wizard/Sorc for 1 level and take Champion you can get medium armor to fill up your AC really fast with an archetype that's really good with Oracle anyway. Just get DEX +1 during character creation and grab studded leather and maybe a breastplate.
100
cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
But I digress. New battle oracle DOES have a higher ceiling on its defense but you still only start with light armor proficiency so going STR build is awkward and bugbear is STR, CHA, Free. You could certainly go DEX in that FREE but you'd also want CON for melee. What are some tips?
100
cheezeofages @cheezeofages.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
One, you usually can't equip heavy armor before level 5 on most classes without STR as their key attribute & you mostly can't afford it for a couple levels anyway unless you do the trick with the Armored Skirt or similar items. Second, old battle oracle got massive penalties from its curse.
