Gotta Find Me a Future Part Two: Dawn (1/16) Without further ado, @theashemarie.bsky.social , @katiemonz.bsky.social , @lycaneum.bsky.social , and I present Gotta Find Me a Future Part Two: Dawn! #pearlina #GottaFindMeaFuture

Page 1 - COVER
A full page, full color comic cover.

The cover page depicts a backstage tent at the Grand Festival, where the idols are preparing for their Three Wishes performances. In the center of the image, Pearl’s hands are holding up a hinged compact mirror and an engagement ring. The bottom half of the mirror reveals half of Pearl’s face, smiling fondly. The top half of the mirror reflects Marina as she is putting in her earrings at a makeup vanity. She is dressed in her Grand Festival top and sweatpants, depicted from behind with her tentacles pulled up and out of the way so that her back is fully visible. Marina is lit from the front so that there is a slight glow bouncing off her skin. We can also see a bit of her face in the mirror in front of her.

The engagement ring is silver with small, turquoise stones.

The title and subtitle of the comic are inked in the top middle of the page, above the main illustration:

GOTTA FIND ME A FUTURE
Part Two: Dawn

Page 2

A grayscale comic page. It is a full page illustration of an ink droplet being shot toward the bottom of the page.

Page 3

A grayscale comic page with three panels. The ink droplet travels across the page before landing in a splatter on the ground.

Page 4
A grayscale comic page depicting two scenes from Grand Fest. The first panel is a crowd reaction shot of multiple inklings, octolings, and jellyfish reacting to the battle they're watching.

The second, bigger panel depicts the commentator booth. Two commentators, an inkling and a jellyfish, are looking up at off-screen action with microphones on the table before them. Behind them, the media crew of the event are shown in front of multiple monitors.

Heyo y’all, I apologize for my inactivity here, I’m currently dealing with some creative burnout and I’ve been on a hiatus because of it. There’s also been some irl stuff that has happened that are difficult for me currently, but I’m okay and I might talk about it sometime in the future.

After much deliberation, I finally caved and bought a portable drawing tablet! And it came at just the right time too, because I caught the flu immediately after it arrived 💀 Here are some of the first drawings i did on this thing while sick in bed. #pearlina #splatoon

Happy New Year from MDT!!🎉🎉 I think my resolution for this year is to do more personal projects even if they’re small or self-indulgent, as this year was pretty bad creativity speaking, and I wanna bring that joy back. I also want to dive into sewing this year too, I think that would be really fun😎

thoughts I’ve had about the end of 2025. if you’re feeling like you didn’t do enough, you’re not alone in that. but surviving this year is accomplishment enough 🥂

I think the end of the year just brings out that existential feeling sometimes. I'm once again struck with the realization that the things I kept putting off for another month didn't happen in 2025 either. Whether it was writing my original manuscript, cosplay, the live streams I wanted to experience or even places I wanted to visit, some things just never moved forward.
There are still SO many experiences I'm grateful for and highlights I want to review as we head into 2026.
And yet, the restless feeling lingers. I could have used my time better even if I have plenty more. I don't know if that feeling ever goes away but I'm doing my best to cope. I often worry that the people I want to share my achievements with won't always be in my life and it does make me a little anxious. I think I can be very forgetful even if I don't want to be but manage to lock in when I know there's a deadline approaching.
I'm not always successful, case in point being the Squidmas themed video I had planned. If it had come out on the special day, there'd be a majority of people who still had to watch it later so I tried not to feel too badly about things.
I think of everyone who is feeling alone for the holidays and might have needed it. But then, what if people actually didn't like the direction of this one? I just pushed through and kept working.
But also made time to spend with my family while I'm fortunate to do so.
And on top of that the world is changing a lot. I just hope that I get to pursue my other dreams while I can. Thank you all for supporting me and making the collaborations with so many wonderful artists possible. I'm excited to see what Splatoon will become in the next couple of years ahead. Take care of yourselves and look out for your communities. See you soon. Stay fresh! - yumeparadox
