IR Photography time! I removed the integrated Ir/UV filter and now my red channel is extremely sensitive to IR light. Somehow I also managed to not get any dust on my sensor. #Photography #Infrared

A Laser diode at work got fried. Since I did not know what a failure of one of these looked like under the microscope, the SEM was the ideal tool to find out. The wave guide is hardly a guide any more, with the metallisation layer distributed everywhere, but where it was supposed to be.
