@maro254.bsky.social Picked up the 5 box bundle of mood swings and put them all together, removing the duplicates. I realized that this increases the density of rares/mythics compared to one regular box. Do you think this negatively impacts the play experience? Should I have some c/u duplicates?

Just trying to understand why you think it's bad design other than "I can't punish my opponents by killing their lands and I wish I could." Is there an implementation of this mechanic that you think would be better? Is it the concept of it that irks you or is there experience that you can point to?

Yeah you have to play some different interaction and your t4 day of judgement doesn't also stone rain your opponent. You're also asserting that your criticisms are valid but aren't supporting them with anything other than buzzwords. Is Cycling a bad mechanic because it gives you a buyout? Bestow?

I think that is an oversimplification. Are there Earthbending cards running rampant in some format with no viable counterplay available? Where is this theoretical player just slamming their cards into play without a plan and winning everything? This seems like a cloud for an old man to yell at

I think the framing of "This is a mistake" rather than just "I don't like this" without offering any thoughts about how it could be better is what comes across weird to me. I enjoy your videos, and you usually add context to your opinions in those. Might just be a product of bsky and character limit

I think that if Earthbending didn't return the land from when it died, it would not be a feasible strategy. There's just too much risk involved in turning your opponent's Burst Lightning into a Stone Rain. And the exile clause made sure it wasn't completely hosed by Airbending in limited.

I don't understand what you mean by this. My reply was just to say that bouncing the land is an effective way to punish Earthbending. Unless you were only referring to Commander, then I don't have input there.

I am pretty sure there will be two triggers, one from you and one from your opponent that go on the stack in Active Player, Non-active Player order. So if the land dies on your turn, their trigger will resolve first and they will get the land. Vice versa if it dies on their turn

Today's flight home got delayed by 4 hours. Really not my weekend lol. At least I won a team cube draft. Also had some really good hangs with friends and many of my friends did well so I am very happy for them. The Magic was not great this weekend but the Gathering was spectacular.

Went 2-4 at the Baltimore Spotlight with Vivi Cauldron, felt I ran very cold. Disappointing but it happens. Signed up for the Super Standard RCQ at 9 on Sunday and lost R1 super quick. Joined the Modern equivalent at 9:30 with a borrowed Etron and lost to Titan (I was told that is its worst matchup)

The non-hybrid examples you gave would not be changing at all, and they have non-hybrid symbols. I don't know why that would be confusing. There are a lot of rules and cards for new players to learn. Why would this be harder than any other rule? New players aren't babies that need protecting.
