A kind of cool thing that I've never shared is that my mother's uncle was Harry F. Rudd, who was a pretty successful commercial artist in the 1920s and 1930s(?), and even did covers for The Saturday Evening Post and other magazines

This piece was featured on Antiques Roadshow. My mom is the youngest of 13 children, so many of her siblings have inherited most of his works. My mom has a few vintage prints though

This is a high quality print that was given to me, and I still need to buy a frame for.

Dementia 21: What a weird manga, lol. I enjoyed this quite a bit more than Super Dimensional Love Gun. This is more of a niche series for people with weird taste, but if you like dark and surreal comedy, it absolutely delivers on that. I wish I knew there was a boxset option when I bought it though

Tank Chair episode 1 was fun. I'm not really a fan of CG, but it actually looked much better than I expected. The backgrounds and environment look especially nice. I'm excited to see more of the cast in future episodes. I really like this series

Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You: As a manga reader, I was obviously going to enjoy the anime. This show is based on a manga that is all about vibes, and I think the anime did a great job of putting those vibes on display. My only complaint is that it really makes me miss smoking 🚬

Clevatess s2: I really like this series. There's something about the sound design in particular during the action scenes that is so cool. Hopefully season 3 gets announced soon, because that cliffhanger was brutal, and as a physical only reader, it'll take quite a while for the manga to catch up

Thunder3: This really didn't need an anime. The manga is really the only way you should experience this series. The manga is super fun and has incredible art, and nearly all of its charm is too difficult to translate well into animation.

Counting the number of "Doot" sound fx in The Bugle Call: Song of War manga. The series is actually pretty interesting, but I just think that it's really funny how often "Doot" is used.

I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day: I have to agree with a lot of the takes about the lore/world building, and there are times it feels like it's sad for the sake of being sad, but I thought it was a solid adaptation. I'm way behind on the manga, but I'll pick it back up now that the show's over
