Misa @cheese-vault.org · 03/10/2026When I first saw this, I misread it as 135 pounds. That made me a little confused. 120
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 09/09/2026TRAPPED IN CHAIR HELL. SEND HELP. Testing runtime object creation + placement. Creating objects is not really something I'll be doing much after world gen. The strategy is to populate the world with thousands of random objects at game start. Extremely limited creation/deletion after that. #gamedev 091
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 28/08/2026Representing the two states of being. SANDWICH and BROKEN SANDWICH Brought to you by the tulip foundation. #gamedev 1102
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 26/08/2026Don't worry, the mouse didn't break it. She's the one who fixes things. As the team mechanic, she is able to fix this better than the average person's patch work. She makes repaired objects even more powerful than their original form. How? Nobody knows for sure. #gamedev #mouse 0103
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 26/08/2026The squirrel has expressed his rage. The chair is DESTROYED. All furniture and handheld items will have "health" and a broken state. Anything can be repaired, though. #gamedev 0124
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 25/08/2026Ever versatile. Tulip also has a daytime version of their advertisement. 000
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 24/08/2026Items on the floor, now. Two random opposing positions around the center of the tile are calculated so they don't overlap. At least that's the hope. I'll have to be cautious about object size. Sin and cos are used to calculate the positions as a kind of orbit. #gamedev #godot 1103
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 23/08/2026A tulip on a chair. Normally you could just quickly parent one to the other, but I'm masochistic. I construct the scene objects manually from custom simulation data, so I have to manually store and reproduce the relationships and placement positions of the objects. It is my curse. #gamedev #godot 084
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 11/08/2026Put together the first person view controller, along with movement, mouse look, and a tiny preliminary name window when pointing at things. The happy face may need to retire soon, but he will be remembered. #gamedev 182
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 28/07/2026Adventures of Happy Face in test room continues. Look at the little guy go. So smart and gracious. Not only does he choose a path that avoids slamming into the chair, he also directs his turns so that he won't bump against the corner of the chair. What a lad. #gamedev 182
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 26/07/2026Happy Face is now pathing like he owns the place. (a test to ensure he walks around corners, rather than trying diagonal-clip through the edges) Please ignore the chair that is sitting casually over a lava pit. It is a deadly trap. #gamedev 152
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 21/07/2026You know, he LOOKS like a brother who ran away from home years ago, doesn’t he? 000
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 21/07/2026Raw data from the simulation now leads to objects being placed when loading the visual room. The only objects that exist right now are chairs and tulips. That’s all anyone really needs. (“Visual” is to differentiate the room the player is viewing. All other rooms are simulated behind the scenes.) 121
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 30/06/2026His head was separated from his body, and shrunken to about 85% of its original size. He's taking it better than expected 131
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 27/06/2026Other than some fine tuning, the Squirrely Bellhop is done for now, at least until it's time to import over to Godot. #gamedev 091
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 24/06/2026Cured of the box-face illness from before. Also I gave him spots on the sides so he could have some kind of playful decoration beyond his massive hat. 000
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 20/06/2026Squirrel in progress. They are the smallest fella. But big tail. And very ill-fitting hat. 010
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 03/06/2026Secret game design document regarding pathfinding. DO NOT LEAK TO THE PUBLIC THIS IS THE KEY TO ALL OF THIS. #gamedev 1122
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 02/06/2026Humanity can only achieve true peace once it gets serious. It must initiate the final solution. Competitive high stakes Moraff’s World esports. It is our only hope. 010
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 26/05/2026Three folks so far. After this, only one more and the team is complete. 130
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 25/05/2026I think it's time for gamers to get serious and put together "Little Computer People" esports. 000
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 25/05/2026Crew Member #3 is almost done. The Bun Butler gets his walking cane. He insists he doesn't need it much and it's a "doctor's orders" kind of thing. #gamedev 181
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 23/05/2026Rabbit Butler gains slightly more appropriate colors. He is a white bunbun with black as an secondary color. 020
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 21/05/2026He wants to stomp to warn the others about the dangers of being a 3d model 010
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 18/05/2026Felt strangely demotivated this weekend. No specific reason that I can think of. I mean, there was a mild headache today, which was a small contributor. Nonetheless, I did some math(s) and now this guy has positioning for his future eye and mouth textures. More or less. 041
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 05/05/2026Got some preliminary A* pathfinding going in #Godotengine. A Gridmap is used to supply position and cost information for each walkable tile. A* point and connection data is pre-processed in the editor. At runtime, all that needs to be done is supply the points and connections to AStar3D. #gamedev 082
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 25/04/2026Testing to make sure multiple characters wear unique clothing rather than sharing data. (I ended up getting a bit twisted by my own faulty test code, but I got there eventually) #gamedev 091
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 21/04/2026Shirt and pants are successful. Still a little work to do, such as applying a mask to the body to prevent clipping with the clothes at sharper angles, but it's just about there even without that. #gamedev 051
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 18/04/2026Random toki pona words and coloration on objects is a success. Featuring some sample objects: 1. the bird sign 2. the book of badness 3. the wrench of machines (silly) 4. the tulip of the people #gamedev 291
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 12/04/2026Random object generation is working in its basic form. Here are two randomly generated books. There is color customization and also associated words, which are represented through a composed logo image. All objects get this color/logo treatment. The words are in Toki Pona. #gamedev 183
Misa @cheese-vault.org · 10/04/2026TULIP brand chairs may be as basic as possible, but they get the job done. Please do not sit down for more than an hour at a time. This is for safety reasons. 030
