Humanity as a whole needs to drink more Gamay, and proper one at that - not necessarily Cru Beaujolais, but get out of here with that Beaujolais Nouveau barely fermented juice :/

This one was really unusual - I happen to like Amarone and I was happy to try anything, so I did enjoy it, but to be completely honest, if I was looking for Syrah I'd be disappointed, so I definitely get that.

Final #wine of the night, and I've had enough in me to stop caring about nice photos ;) Anyway, this 2003 M. Chapoutier Crozes-Hermitage would make me cry at a blind tasting: it was a very hot year, so it tastes more like Amarone than Syrah😅 It was delicious nonetheless!

It's definitely a me problem - after it got warmer and had some more air, the chicken soup disappeared and it developed all the aromas and flavors you mentioned, but that first whiff after getting the cork out was as unmistakable as it was surprising. Wonderful wine though, want to get a case of it.

As a Pole, I will definitely drink to that!

Second bottle of the night: a Grenache from Roussillon: 2021 Clos del Rey L'Episcata. There's definitely something wrong with both my head and my nose, because right after opening this #wine smelled to me almost exactly like my mum's chicken soup. No, I don't know either😂 It was still fantastic!

Celebrating nothing in particular at one of my favorite #wine bars tonight. Brought this bottle with me: a 2018 Suntory Iwadarehara Merlot. Quite nice - not the best Japanese merlot I've had, but it's still pretty great!

Great, now I don't just have heart palpitations, but I'm also uncontrollably salivating😂 Sounds absolutely divine, especially since baba ganoush is one of my favorite dishes! This really sounds like perfection: wine, food, friends, everything.

Such a sad story, and such a beautiful place destroyed... :(

Wife wanted to learn more about Rioja, so we opened a bottle of 2017 CVNE 'Imperial' Gran Reserva tonight. Very, very nice #wine indeed - vanilla, leather, blackberries, a bit of cedar, spices... Love it! We need to drink more Rioja in this house, methinks :)

Amen. "Tasty" tells me nothing, because I want to understand if _I_ would like the wine I'm reading about, and not if a stranger liked it or not. Tasting notes are not perfect, but way more helpful than "Yeah, I thought the wine was good. The end."
