and maybe the salvation lies in treating it like a craft, and building systems where learning skills is rewarded and they come with you grow. and treating the LLM as a kind of knitting machine, not a mind

i don’t think salvation for the user is here, and the problems of how to make software without having to know as much about the computer as your own domain seem still beyond and elsewhere

LLMs continue to get better at more accurately generating the code i’ve asked for, but are not really improving at reducing the amount i need to know about the computer to make something that works
