! @calgary.ca has added the clock to the bottom left of their video feed. That makes things so much easier to correlate outside of the video stream. #yyccc
Partial screenshot of a webstream of Calgary City Council. Item 4.1 is in the bottom thirds with 10:36 (the time when it was recorded) is in the bottom left.

Looks like the sinkholes on 12th Ave are finally getting looked at. The abhorrent lack of detour is back too. #yycbike
A piss poor excuse of a detours where lanes are closed and construction asks people using a mobility lane to dismount and use the partially obstructed sidewalk.Sidewalk showing a roughly 1m uneven access between a building and a tree due to poor detour and construction management

… so that whole ask Google to tweet like my Bluesky username? It’s a painfully accurate depiction of what I’ve used time to post about. Also about how challenging our current council is. #yycbike
Asking Google’s AI Overview to “tweet like bluesky user chealion.ca”

Option 1: The Urbanism / Transit Post

Always interesting watching the city council debate active transit infrastructure like it's a brand new, untested concept and not just, you know... sidewalks and bike lanes that have worked globally for a century. Anyway, time for another coffee. ☕️ 🚲

Digging Helsinki’s bike infra. Stairs at a gentler grade with ramps that allow you to push trikes up/down? Yes please
The Baana in Helsinki. Showing a bike path and walking path below street level with parked scooters on the right in a parking zone. Two cyclists are coming towards the camera. Showing someone pushing a bicycle up a ramp on stairs.Viewing a tunnel where the Baana goes underneath a roadway. Cyclists and pedestrians are silhouetted.

Podium champagne meme. 5 panels.

Panel 2 - close up of male’s face biting into medal with right eye closed
Panel 3 - male flipping off (middle finger raised) everyone with both hands and shouting into the air
Panel 4 - shaking and opening a large bottle of champagne
Panel 5 - male is spraying himself with the champagne and it is revealed he js on the 9th rung of a podium with the other 8 medalists staring down at him

Heads up #yycbike - extremely dangerous 12 ave lane closure at 14th St. No signage eastbound - just a plastic barrier. Westbound says to use sidewalk and has the immediate sidewalk closed. Unacceptably bad detour. @calgary.ca @natefor8.bsky.social #yyccc

Looking forward to having to pay $4/trip next year for this… (no, no I’m not. It’s deplorable to pay so much for so little) #yyccc #yyctransit

iOS 26’s new changing photo lock screen is rather nice.

… I feel tired and depressed pointing to the sign, because so many folks don’t (intentional or not) put cause and effect together. To the staff and candidates in #yyccc who do… I can not express my appreciation enough.
Simpsons meme where the bus driver states “Don’t make tap the sign”. The sign in this meme says “System working as designed” to help communicate the attempt by politicians to show their lack of agency in a system they have helped create.

Lastly a please help because it requires effort of the people to make our systems not suck.

The whole changeover with Freedom Mobile's internet offering from their resold Shaw service to whatever this is with Videotron has been a peach. Can not recommend avoiding like the plague more. #yyc

This front plate to go on a Brommie luggage block is going to be awfully useful. (Zip tie a basket? Bungie odd shaped item) Found at Blue Lug in Tokyo, made by Nitto.

Heads up #yycbike - 12th ave cycle track completely closed between 4th and 5th Street without a detour or detour signage. Not seen in the picture is that the sidewalk is completely closed once past the access driveway. #yyccc
The 12th Avenue cycle track is shown closed without a detour and the only on road option to go into oncoming traffic.

It most definitely does not hurt when your city has invested in public infra. (Non hostile architecture! Programming the external spaces - karaoke today) #investinpeopleyoucowards

… also that they have to go higher than the +15 to get over the CPR mainline. Solvable but a challenge. The 10th Ave station likely makes that even more of a challenge. (Eg. 25m up requires 400m to climb) www.calgary.ca/content/dam/... #yyccc

Vertical clearance over LRT tracks shall be a minimum 6.0 m above the top of rail.”

Rather glad you can turn off showing the contact photo circle beside emails in iOS 18.2. Especially when 99% of the email you get has an auto generated categorization photo.
