Of course, I could finish my current project, but what about „Second Project“?! In case you wondered, yes I want to make my own Star Wars Fighter. Project Name „Cheshire Fool“ Now I got to watch more of @sublightdrive.bsky.social videos to get inspired!

The Primer gives them a rather unified look. Also, now the two #scratchbuildt Ships don’t look like they are slapped together, or at least less so. Thank you to @sublightdrive.bsky.social who’s YouTube videos gave me the courage to start this! #scalemodeling #theexpanse #starships #unnavy

The Frigate and Escorts produced by @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social go well with my #scratchbuild Murphy Class Destroyer (about 99% complete) [the Munroe Class Destroyer is hard to keep out of the frame, because of its size] Looking forward to paint them soon! @greenroninpub.bsky.social #theexpanse

If you see this, post something not quite STAR TREK. Not quite Captain Janeway … not sure what’s different though.

I have ONE complaint about the „the ships of the expanse“ box by @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social (I know I took a crappy picture) This gas-freighter doesn’t have enough Gas Tanks on it. #iykyk #legitimatesalvage #rocinante #screamingfirehawks #theexpanse #tachi

Size comparison of my two Destroyers, to the one that came in the @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social box, don’t worry, size doesn’t matter, they all have a purpose and will be very satisfactory, when used properly! (Honestly, I love the Morgaina class destroyer!) ❤️ #wargames #tabletoproleplayinggame

@greenroninpub.bsky.social and @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social delivered. I really quickly put together one of the four Phantom class Escorts ships because I needed the size comparison to the Munroe and Murphy class destroyers. #scalemodelling #theexpanse #scratchbuilding

Today, I got a notification, that I should receive my #theexpanserpg #transportunionedition order, so I should be able to add official @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social models to these 3d printed supplements (not to mention the official ships to go with my #scratchbuilt ones! @greenroninpub.bsky.social

I choose to believe, I am making good use of the greeblies, that I have, even though I am not sure if you can call them greeblies if I use them like this?! (Not just adding texture, but shaping it.) Anyway, quite happy with where this is going! #scratchbuilding #greeblies #theexpanse #scalemodel

The first ship is nearly ready, so let’s start another one! Another destroyer, but only half the size of the first one. And -very- different armament. *This is the size I was originally going for.* #scratchbuild #theexpanse #scalemodel

The UNN Queralt Noguera is nearing its completion and will be leaving the bush shipyards as planned. #scratchbuild #theexpanse #spaceship #ttrpg

Picture shows a 1:1000 Scale (scratch built) model of a Spaceship made up of Plasticard and parts from model kits (including kits from ships, cars and aeroplanes)

This Ship is based on the Plans and rules from Green ronin Publishing’s Book “ships of the expanse” for the “the expanse roleplaying game” and is supposed to resemble a UNN (United Nations Navy) vessel of the Munroe class (a light destroyer)

The model itself is approximately 20cm long.

About 90% finished and rather happy with it. This is a UNN Munroe class Destroyer, based on the pictures in #theshipsoftheexpanse by @greenroninpub.bsky.social (but during the process, I had to do a few changes here and there, so it does look different now, BUT the Scale is 👌🏼 #scratchbuild

I have been busy, the damage in the front part of the hull (caused by me being sloppy with my tools) has been repaired! Plasticard has been wedged under the hull bits to close the parts off (which a professional would have done the other way around, but I got excited!) #theexpanse #scratchbuilding

Philip Davies-Koch @che-guevesa.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

Some progress on the spacecraft, decided to use parts of a Ships model’s Hull, which I originally didn’t intend to do. A friend suggested to break the hull in smaller bits, which was a brilliant idea. Soon I’ll have to think about how to build the drives. #theexpanse #scratchbuilding #spaceship
