The Democracy World Cup final: Spain v Switzerland. Spain brings democratic participation at digital scale. Switzerland brings binding citizen authority. The difference is consequence. The lens points to Switzerland — but democracy needs both access and power. How should people get the final word?

The Democracy World Cup final: we’ll publish the result. But publishing a result isn’t crowning a champion. Every ranking also raises other questions: Who chose the criteria? Whose experiences count? Who gets to define democratic excellence? Those questions must be part of the project.

A red card. A presidential call. A test of independence. The bigger question is not only about football: What protects decisions when powerful people want different outcomes? The Democracy World Cup is not decided by access. It is decided by public criteria.
