Counter-counterpoint - you're absolutely right for movie Rocky, but I would suggest that while book Rocky is also not insecure, he's definitely more bossy, and would happily act as a house mother (father?) ala the drag ballroom scene and not try to show Simon up, but rather show him how it's done.
