“I knew no speaking, no writing, nothing,” Anita Argueta says of arriving in the U.S. from Guatemala. After studying with Chatham Literacy, Anita can now communicate at work and translate legal documents from Spanish into English. “Chatham Literacy changed my life.”

It is with both sadness and joy that we accept the retirement of our long-time bookkeeper, DJ Lynch. She worked with Chatham Literacy since 2012. Her last day is November 30, 2025. DJ will be greatly missed, but we wish her well on her pickleball journey! Thank you, DJ!
