I am not surprised by this at all. 343 Industries and Halo Studios have failed Halo as a franchise time and time again. After Campaign Evolved, my expectations were put in the dirt. I expect the same disappointment will happen with Halo under Activision and I’m ready to move on from Halo.

I’m started to see a new trend with modern games. First with Cortana’s hand-holding in Halo: CER, now Insomniac’s Wolverine with 3 guides on the screen and QTEs that players can never fail? Do they think so little of the player’s intelligence that they feel they need to treat them like idiots?

Won a Warzone game in the MW4 Beta. That said, I hate the changes made to the in-game UI and Recon contracts. They also removed both the intro cutscene before deployment and the outro cutscene for the winning team. Overall, I am not a fan of Warzone this time around.

I had an amazing Cryo run earlier today. I was working on getting 28 kills with the Goo Gun for the skin and got jumped by other teams. I clutched up for my team and beat them. We took their prestige shields, DNA access card and then beat the Compiler. All in one match. #Marathon

The downgrade of Halo’s design from Combat Evolved to Campaign Evolved cannot be understated. Even Marcus Lehto, the former art director of the original game agrees with this sentiment. Then I saw DavyJonesVFX’s take on Halo and I wish this is what we got in the remake. It’s basically perfect.

Finished Star Wars: The Ninth Jedi. Overall it was alright, actually gave me Lord of the Rings vibes in some areas. Although I’m confused why this is both non-canon AND set 1,000 years after Episode 9. Why not make it a seperate, non-canon timeline? I don’t know. Curious how others feel about it.

The performance of Campaign Evolved needs a serious patch. You CANNOT have any updates going on in the background or downloading something. Otherwise you cannot play the game. It just will not work, and this is on Xbox. I can’t even imagine how much worse this is on PC.

Through mods, this is what I want to see in Campaign Evolved. • OG voice actors/lines restored • Remakes of CE’s Elite/Marine armor • CE AI restored • Marcus Lehto’s remake of Chief’s armor • Forerunner architecture redone (patterns on walls/flooring) • Dark Blue atmosphere restored on The Library

Just beat Halo: Campaign Evolved. No spoilers. I find myself mixed on the game overall. In some areas, it absolutely surpasses Halo: CEA and even the original. In some areas, it does even worse than both. I’d say it’s better than CEA, but I can’t say it’s better than the original game.
