I'm doing well, Heidi. I hope you are, too. I'm just recharging the batteries & grabbing some extra summer down time. Prioritizing lazy. 🙂

Thanks, Groove! 🙂 It's a wonderful album (and as you say, largely melancholy from start to finish🙂)! We've been near normal temps along the coast, which I prefer. Last year was sooo humid, with frequent heat warnings. So far, so good. Miss you, too! I hope you're having a fabulous summer! 🌞

Agreed! It was great seeing so many participants from other countries. Many of their posts introduced me to Canadian songs I'd not heard before.

Same goes for you. I discovered (and rediscovered) many Canadian bands & songs through this challenge. It was so much fun. Thanks for hosting and for giving us a good stretch of time to post our songs.

I had a great time, Groove! Thanks for giving me a heads up on the challenge (I might've missed out otherwise). I loved reading all the daily posts & seeing what everyone came up with. Songs brought back great memories.

#CanadaDays #MusicChallenge Happy Canada Day! Many thanks to @forty-too.bsky.social & @27badfish.bsky.social for hosting an amazing challenge.🥳🙏 My Mom was a huge fan of Leonard Cohen. Closing the challenge with one of her favorites. Leonard Cohen: "The Future" youtu.be/8WlbQRoz3o4?...

It does cut deep. Makes me think of people I've lost.

#CanadaDays #MusicChallenge My favorite from Ocie Elliot -- a bittersweet song about the pain of watching someone you love suffer and drift away. Ocie Elliot: "Jobie's Song" (2025) youtu.be/zQniHJ70LEo?...

Zit Remedy wrote one song in junior high and rode it all through high school. No other song in their set and they still got booked for a school dance. Best song ever.

I can't believe the Jays still have a shot at the Wild Card. Says a lot about the state of the AL East. Yankees are flying high, despite the weekend. Jays are painful viewing. Very different vibe from last year. They still weren't great at this point last season, but too much dead weight right now.

My mind was on music when I read your reply.😊 I enjoyed Vladdy encouraging Bo to take his helmet off & salute the crowd. I need to watch Bo's pre-game interview, where I know he got emotional. I wish he could snap Vladdy out of his hitting funk. Half a billion $$ for below-league average hitting.🙁

You beat me to it. I looked up the AJ reference (I'm unfamiliar with it), and google directed me to Ale House.

Too funny! 😄I'm not sure I'd want to be in a band called Road Apples, but they had good reason for the name. Interesting that there was already a tribute band in the early 90s. Speaks to the Hip's meteoric rise to fame in Canada.

Charlotte Sometimes 🇨🇦 @charlysometimes.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

I was thrown off by your question.😄 I immediately thought of Bichette (only Bo I know), but wasn't sure. "Record" had me wondering if you meant music. Baseball. Got it!😄 I watched a "Jays in 30" half hour recap this morning. I saw Bo's tribute video, at-bats, but not his pre-game interview.

A critically acclaimed album and quite diverse with four singer/songwriters. One of my 90s favorites. Glad you enjoyed the song!

No better way to get immersed in their music. Such a great live band. Glad we both had the opportunity to see them.

Yes! She gained national attention (going viral before going viral was a thing) singing at a rally when she was a child. Booming voice even then. Snowballed from there.

Gentle, melodic, and poetic lyrics as always.
