Qualified last Sunday for #fabtcg Worlds, playing Chane in Silver Age. It’s the second time after a PQ+ in Winter where I was able to win with the hero. Last time he was the best deck. This time people didn’t think it was a relevant deck in the meta. Proof that there is still room for innovation.

World Premiere is fun so far. Just had my first non-game in round 10. #fabtcg

We had 34 people yesterday at our main monthly #mtgpremodern event. I think it's safe to say that no other competitive MtG format is bringing this many people to the store to play currently. The growth of Premodern is insane!! 🔥🔥🔥

Wow 😯 That’s a lot of sorting

Will I finally sort my Super Slam commons before opening PEN on Monday? #fabtcg

Thank you and congrats to you as well. It’s a card game and to win events a bunch of things have to go your way. Matchup spread is one of them.

Qualified for Nationals on DIO. First LL points on the hero too 🥰 Split finals with a good friend (on Pleiades). Had a very good matchup spread compared to last week 🤣 Rd 1: Kayo, Rd 2: Kayo, Rd 3: Oscilio, Rd 4: Verdance, Rd 5: Cindra, 1/4: Oscilio, 1/2: Prism. I did win all my games. 🥹 #fabtcg

Finished 8-4 at the Calling (44th). Day 2 was a rough start with losses to Slippy and Gravy, went on to beat another a gravy and 2 Verdance. Next: Calling Hamburg. Day 1: lost to fatigue Dori and Jarl and beat 4 Gravy’s and a Mirror #fabtcg

On my way to Copenhagen to my only second Calling this year. This time we packed two decks and I actually still don’t know which one I will play. #fabtcg

Books generally get reviewed quite badly by the readers on platforms like Amazon. Always confusing to me.

Thomas Preyer @charlimero.bsky.social · 27/06/2025

Nationals was tough for me this year. Everything felt very hard and variance was unfavorable for me in most matches. However my drafting was good and my cc deck choice and list was as well. My day 1 play was good too but day 2 the bad draws got to me (rarely happens). #fabtcg

Thomas Preyer @charlimero.bsky.social · 23/06/2025

Dropped Nationals at 6-5 after starting day 2 0-2. Weekend was cursed with bad draws and also not so tight play. At least Laurin put DIO into the top 4 🦾 #fabtcg

Draft 2, with Puffin, opened and picked Scurv pack 2 and had to pivot back to Puffin pack 3. 🎢 Could’ve had a lot better deck but saved the draft. Rd 7 Gravy 🦜 Win Rd 8 Marlynn 🏹Loss Rd 9 Marlynn 🦜 Win 2-1 and 6-3 for the day. Flesh and Blood is hard.

Thomas Preyer @charlimero.bsky.social · 21/06/2025

Draft 1, with Gravy, with the only other Gravy to my left. Rd 4 Puffin 🦜 Lost because I didn’t see any of my 7 allies in the first 4 hands. Rd 5 Marlynn 🪦 Win Rd 6 Puffin 🪦Win 2-1 and 4-2 total. One more draft today.

German Nationals on their way, CC for day 1 after 3 rounds in the book. Playing DIO 🦾 Rd 1 Oscilio 🦾 Rd 2 Hatchets Dori 🦾 Rd 3 Gravy Bones 🪦 Better start than last year but the gravy game was such a low roll 🥹 6 rounds of draft next! #fabtcg

Already on my way to ValueVampires reunion aka German #fabtcg nationals. Very relaxed about the event. But ask me how I feel afterwards… maybe I can get to top 8 this time after 3 top 16 🥲

Cog in the Machine. Love me some items. Or make it Copper Cog. 15.

Expansion slots don’t sell sets. But yeah, it’s always kinda odd that new class cards mostly work in new heroes. Sometimes this game is like a board game. I’d like a journey to more deck building options.

On my way to Vienna for work and fun (PQ tomorrow). We have a #MtG get together at @threeforonetrading.bsky.social tonight, playing Old School EDH with Elder Dragons as Commanders, classic drafts (Fallen Empires here I come), @illustratorjeff.bsky.social signing your cards, and much more!

Had a fun turn on Maxx against a budget Fai, 5 Hyper Driver in play, Red 0to60, destroy 2 drivers, Hyper Scraper, banish 4 Drivers, Gas-up into Heist into Heist into Banksy getting 3 drivers back from Banish 🤣 tldr: deck still terrible 😞 #fabtcg

Thought: maybe, just maybe LGS thought with US nationals timing they’d order more than they usually would to selling singles at a premium? Maybe total availability is not worse? I have no insights but that could be a possible scenario.

Played Prism at the PQ in Berlin and went 2-3. Lost rd 1 to Vynnset, after they used their 3 sevens on my first 3 attacks. Close-ish game where I decided to play ALS instead of pushing another 10. Rd 3 lost to Victor. They rolled pretty high and mighty. All Pummels and Goldmane Estate early #fabtcg
