DOJ: "as those terms is" is grammatically incorrect. This indictment could not be more problematic, but you'd think it would have been proofread 👀
Excerpted text from DOJ indictment with grammatically incorrect language, "as those terms is defined," circled in red.

Washington Gladden described the "morally" incapable poor as "diseased social tissue," who "must be separated from society and the sexes from each other, so that the race...shall not be propagated, and so that those segregated may be reclaimed and fitted for social service!" (Social Salvation 1902)
Image of excerpt from Washington Gladden's 1902 book Social Salvation, referring to the apparently immoral unemployed poor as a social disease.

"...the world around us is in social and spiritual torment precisely because of the abandonment of the idea that the proletariat is the only part of society which can give the impetus to the reorganization of society... To the realization of that truth humanity must come or perish." - CLR James 1962

"I'm wondering if you have reflections on this issue about the role that labor plays in thinking about um the Israel Palestine issue" The question itself reflects both ignorance and unacceptable cowardice of an institution claiming "religion and justice."

"Nihilism in Russia, Communism in Germany, and in France, Irish contention in Great Britain and Abolitionism (another term for Communism) in the United States, are only synonyms for resistance by the people to the tyranny and corruption of the Government."

"The parasite of Russia is not Nihilism but the tyrant Czar, who stands between the people and the Reforms demanded by the Nihilists, who are the oppressed struggling under the accumulated burdens of a thousand years of misrule and tyranny."

Haven't read this ruling yet, but the problem is getting to the courts in the first place. If the local and state police, county attorney and state attorney general (as in Iowa) all work in collusion to fake an independent "investigation" , then where is the possibility for justice?

Forgot to post day one here, but trying to share or write a new poem everyday for poetry month. The poems won't be very good, but that's not the point. "To sing you must first open your mouth... The essential thing is to want to sing. This then is a song. I am singing." -Henry Miller

Missionaries "rarely benefited" seems not to be the point...This sounds like some "police are workers too" type missionaries "are the 99%" level analysis of the relationship between missionaries, colonialism, and their "often-unwitting"[?] support for genocide.
