As usual I loved the gorgeous sound descriptions by @charleseppley.bsky.social last night at Air Change Per Hour, Anna RG's sold out performance at ISSUE on sound & accessibility "in the context of airborne safety." Compositions sculpted from air filter sounds, the breath of sick artists, and more.

btw i do use AI and teach with it. so this is just an armchair analysis of what the situ seems to be from my vantage. i think AI literacy is ultimately good for them both academically and professionally, and it's more of a cultural/economic issue rather than tehcnological

yikes - but yeah, it makes sense. ironically, we're also bombarding students with AI literacy busywork (e.g., let's all deconstruct this AI summary of the reading!)... which maybe is making them better at using it in the exact ways faculty are trying to discourage lol
