I created a dynamic SFX behaviour in Adventure Game Studio and even I know this is totally pointless for this kind of game I'm quite happy with the results. Btw, I'm almost done with all the SFX for the demo and now I'm composing and recording the music […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

Game development update! I'm almost finished with all the SFX of the demo so it's almost time to work exclusively on the music. Also here's a little spolier: I created a mini-game inside the demo kind of the ones that appeared in "Sam & Max Hit the Road" […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

The actual world situation reminds me of Ferengi's Rules of Adquisition 34 (War is good for business) and 35 (Peace is good for business) but I think they got it wrong. They should have written "War is bad for business" and "Peace is bad for busniess" […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

Adventure Game Studio is not -by far- a powerful or a versatile game engine but I have to say it has one of the best communities out there. Thanks to their help I was able to implement in my game an auto-pan randomized step sound system that works like a […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

One of my favorite stories ever is the 1998 Burger King Aprils Fool's commercial about the new "Left-handed Whopper". Long story short the company had to release a follow-up statement sayin that it was a joke after all the people who showed up at their […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

I can't believe it but today I finished my first videogame demo of my life, all by myself!!! I had to learn scripting, pixelart, animation and spend tons of time on it. Also today is my birthday so I gifted to myself a retro sci-fi point-and-click adventure! […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

I just finished all the scripting and animations of my first demo ever! It was certainly a challenge cause I had to learn from zero. Now I can annoy all my friends to test the game while I work on the sounds and the soundtrack. It's a retro point-and-click […] [Original post on mastodon.social]
