I think we need to recognze & understand the difference between division and debate. The left doesn’t struggle due to internal debate, it struggles due to a wealth based media that predominantly wants to maintain the status quo. The fact that we have played into their hands is frustrating though.

Well said Carla. This party is a refuge for those that dispise division on any grounds. There will be a knee jerk to this motion which will mostly be media driven. How the party responds is key. A time for cool, calm heads.

I’m torn between my disappointment that conference has passed this and my approval that conference is willing to openly take on such topics. It will cost us, the media will have a field day and turn it into something that I believe it is not. How the party responds moving forward is key.

That £100k “cliff edge” must be petrifying. But don’t forget people who earn six figures do so because they work harder than those who do not and so deserve their benefits and support, whilst those earning less and therefore clearly not working as hard deserve less support. Sickening.
