Like hell yeah, Ralsei is fucking morally gray now, take that I love how at the end, we are presented as the bad guys trying to destroy the world, and Flowery as an unambiguous good guy, trying to save his friends (and the whole world from the prophecy) by defeating us

Flowery is in my top deltarune characters, and it's so annoying the way #those Ralsei fans talk about him Flowery is an extremely important part of Ralsei's ark, and it breaks my heart for their fans to dismiss it completely, and to crawl back to their simpler comfortable image of Ralsei

This might be one of the ways how "gameplay first, story later" approach might be detrimental too Like, a game about defeating waves of enemies and finding treasure sounds cool, but put into this setting it turned into a story about stealing ancestral artifacts from people we invaded

I WILL admit, that I don't know japanese, it IS possible that these things were not part of the original text I know this series struggles with this a lot In splatoon 2's dlc, in the og text the villain was a nazi, but the english localization decided to warn kids to not be "too woke", so yeah

There's a cutscene where they discover (just now somehow) that salmons are sentient intelligent creatures, and Shiver denies this and says something like "I wouldn't trust one with even tying my shoes" It's very weird this went unaddressed The series talked about racism before

I really liked splatoon riders, don't get me wrong But one piece of criticism, that I weirdly didn't see talked about, is how weirdly racist the characters were Like, it made me think they were going to talk about racism in the story, it would fit the setting too But nope, not addressed at all
