I haven't made a mead post in a while; started one today. It's a low ABV lemon, mint, and raspberry mead. Both the mint and raspberries are home grown. Now I have to wash some bottles so I can bottle two finished meads that I've been too lazy to get to. One's carbonated already, but not the other.

3 unpeeled lemons sitting next two two jars. One jar contains a lemon zest sugar extract, the other jar contains a mint sugar extract. Next two those jars is a partially filled 12 L Speidel. Behind the lemons and extracts is a less than half full gallon jug of water.

Centered, is a 12 L speidel ,partially filled, with no lid. On it's left is an empty jar of orange blossom honey. On it's right are two jars containing a mint extract and a lemon zest extract.

I'm sadly drinking my last "Bee Proud" from Havoc Mead today. I was gifted it this summer while on a trip to Vermont with a friend.

A can of mead called "Bee Proud" from Havoc Mead. It is a "Naturally Gluten Free Cassis Orange Sour Mead" in a 473ml can and has an ABV of 5.8%. The artwork on the label features drawings of bee's over and orange with the words Pride, written inside a circle, and Havoc, written inside a hexagon, on top of the orange. Behind the orange are clouds and a rainbow that use "Pride" colors.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Speaking about how Vice President Kamala Harris has won over some independent and Republican voters, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) on Monday pitched a joint brat-themed bus tour with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Republican former vice president Dick Cheney.

“It’s only a matter of time where we’re going to see, like, a bus going through western Wisconsin with — I want you to picture this — Bernie Sanders and Dick Cheney together holding a sign that says, ‘Brat fall.’ That is our plan, okay?” Klobuchar joked. It was a reference to singer Charli XCX’s popular “Brat” album and her viral social media post this summer that “kamala IS brat.”

Sanders’s communications director, Anna Bahr, quickly squashed the idea, posting on X: “safe to say, this is not going to happen lol.”

Klobuchar was joining Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) on the campaign trail. In his remarks, Walz said, “I talked to Bernie Sanders this morning. He’s on board, and Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen” — two other singers who have endorsed Harris.
