This is my entry for a Sheezy Oct prompt, "Desired path", and the first place my brain went to was the yellow brick road going through a forest. So, what do you think? Will those monsters attack you en masse and eat the flesh off your bones, or will they burst into song about how evil they are?

Made this while drawing up a few skull sketches!

I had a full-on Friday with 5 hours of groupwork, so when I got home, I spent the evening drawing this mountain scene. What do you think?

Stylized landscape in shades of purple, showing a still, reflective lake in front of a mountain scape. The lake and sky are full of plants and wildlife.

Want to see a few more scenery pictures? They're not directly relevant to TCC, but I've been having fun with these!

Waterside scene with silhouetted flamingos against a pinkish dawn sky.

A cartoony scene of a night sky looking through the trees of a forest, with a huge full moon.

A gorgeous golden morning sky, peeking through palm fronds as we watch a couple fishing for the day's catch.

A desert scene with cacti silhouetted against a blood-red sunset.

Aside from all that, when I'm not busy in my offline life and not working on commissions, I'm drawing scenery like this. #digitalart

A cutesy forest of crooked walnut trees.

My other CYOA is a fangame of #knightmare from the 1980s! My favourite series was S3, so I'm trying to stay faithful to that one. Rooms are my least-strong thing to draw but by the time I'm done illustrating this I think I should be awesome at it.

Dungeon room that admittedly looks a bit 16-bit. There are 3 doors, each with a symbol above them: a sword, a crown, and a shield.

First of all, I've been planning some more of Four Flamingos of the Apocalypse, my Choose Your Own Adventure. I've also been learning to draw, and really like how they individual horsemen are looking! Here's Death, a greater flamingo. I think he's celebrating because he just left the zoo!

I am so unbelievably terrible at posting here! I'm going to upload a few pictures here and tell you a bit about them, just to update you on what's been going on.

Hi folks! I know not many people will be listening, but I'm not that great with social media so will usually be a bit on-off like this. This is just to say I'm doing fine and haven't fallen off the surface of the planet or anything (yet)! As it's #TavernThursday, how are you all doing?

The Character Consultancy (she/her) @charconsult.bsky.social · 30/05/2024

It's #TavernThursday! It's been a funny week for me. Not particularly busy but all my clients and other busy things have been spread out over the week, so I've decided to shepherd my clients towards the latter end of the week. Wish me luck! How are you all doing? #question

It's #WorldbuildingWednesday! Today's subject is #fire. Fire has a huge impact wherever it goes. It's often considered to be a catastrophe, yet some plants rely on it to successfully produce the next generation. What's the impact of fire in your world? #worldbuilding #writing #writers

It's #CultureTuesday! Babies are one of the biggest new starts we encounter in life. Because of this, different cultures have created a wide range of traditions around welcoming a baby into the world. Perhaps in your worldbuilding project, other traditions hold. What are they? #worldbuilding

It's #CreatureFriday! Today we're looking at ancient creatures. On Earth, our "living fossils" include sharks, crocodilians, and platypi. There are plants too: the gingko tree produces fruit that no animal eats any more. What species on your world have been around the longest? #worldbuilding

It's Tavern Thursday, where we check in with each other. I'm coming to the end of a busy week. On the other hand, I treated myself to a fantasy book I've been wanting to read for ages: The #Dragons of Bloodrock by #GrahamEdwards. How is everyone else doing? #Thursday

It's #WorldbuildingWednesday! We usually only credit humans with the ability to make structures that change our world, but other creatures do it too. E.g., beavers dam rivers and flood entire areas. What species exist on your world that change their environment? #worldbuilding #writing #Wednesday

It's #CultureTuesday! Physical strength can be an issue in some cultures - particularly where the dominant species has sexual dimorphism or there's a military leaning, where there can be an element of "might is right". How is strength perceived in your story? #worldbuilding #writing #writersblock

It's #creatureFriday! The natural world is a network of species that interact, but there's more to the ecosystem than predator-prey relationships. Many cooperate, such as bees and plants, or honeyguides and honey badgers. What cooperative relationships exist in your project's world? #worldbuilding

It's #TavernThursday ! I'm enjoying this week as it's the first time this year it feels like summer. I worry about climate change, but my SLB (Stupid Lizard Brain) appreciated the warmth and lush trees. Aside from that I had a new client start this week. How about the rest of you?

It's #WorldbuildingWednesday! Wherever there are people with a bit of spare time to play, they will make playgrounds: cliffs to leap off into the ocean, beaches with hammocks to lounge on, or places to see and interact with wild animals. What are the natural 'playgrounds' in your world? #writing

It's Tech Monday! However fast your world's technological development is, it means nothing if no-one uses it. How quick is new tech adopted on your world? Are there trials and tests for new devices to go through first, or is everyone gung-ho about buying the latest doodad? #techmonday #worldbuilding

I'll admit I'm not really in a place to shout about myself online at the moment because I'm working on my Master's, but I don't see any harm in talking about some of my stuff. See my banner image? It's by LuckyMrUnlucky of X. Here are the original sketches. Neat, eh?

So I'm here! This place looks a lot like old-school Twitter, doesn't it? Here's hoping bluesky stays friendly and sane for the foreseeable.
