Ecology student and plant fiend. Bugs are cool too. I like to take pics of nature and sometimes I'll even do an art. He/him

Earlier this summer I took this picture of an aster (Symphyotrichum spp.) in Western Montana that I really liked, so I thought I'd share. I'm bad at identifying Symphyotrichum to species, but it might be Symphyotrichum laeve? Feel free to correct me.
A plant with purple flowers with a bright yellow center in the genus Symphyotrichum. The same inflorescence as before but closer, so you can see its wonderful disc florets. The florets are mostly bright yellow but with tinged of dark pink. These are surrounded by the ray florets, or the 'petals' of the flower, which are a beautiful lavender color. Now I'm holding the plant up so I can look at its stem and leaves. The leaf arrangement appears to be alternate. In the background there is an aquamarine river that is catching some yellow and orange from the sunset. There is a large white building across the river and a large hill in the distance. Finally I'm focusing in on the involucral bracts of the plant beneath the same inflorescence that I had been looking at before, which are bright green and seemingly occur in three separate layers.
