So this guy was pretty much wrong about everything.

Argath aka Algus yells "Animals have no God!!" like a jerk. The original translation of Final Fantasy Tactics is notoriously rough, but I always liked how blunt this line was.

I love Archades. I have a save file just to go back there whenever I want.

#Swordtember Day ?? “Agrias”

Pixel art of Agrias Oaks leaning on a sheathed sword

The sketch is visible underneath the otherwise flat tan fill, along with text reading “Life is short… Bury!”

Well said! 👏 I have a fic that’s been going on for eight years and I still get new readers!

One of the reasons that might be happening is because em dashes are very popular amongst us fanfiction writers and unfortunately our work is being fed to AI 😔

If you’re an American should watch the Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown ep on Iran. A deeply humanizing look at a country full of people just like you and me. I watched it after Anthony died and it moved in ways that are hard to relay. I also immediately ran out to try kabob koobideh and tahdig.

Yes! You can use 2x and 4x speed when you are in a battle, or just walking around. This makes traveling and grinding less tedious. Also there are teleport stones to teleport to other towns/locations, and airships to get from town to town.

Average playtime if you’re just doing the main story is around 40-50 hours. Thankfully, the Zodiac Age version has 2x and 4x speed options to keep the time short.

That was definitely one of my favorite scenes to write. I thought “wait a minute- Basch is grieving too!” So I wanted to include it. Thanks for reading!

Nope. That one is by SweetyMutant. I’m the one who writes the longer-than-usual fic about Larsa and Penelo.

Love this! I’m a fanfic writer and have so many ideas, but not nearly enough time for all of them. Writing takes SO much time! So I have to be picky with which projects come to life.

Just remembered that in 2023 I was writing fanfic about people getting wrongfully arrested without due process. Excerpt from “The Burden of Rule” chapter 25 #FFXII #FinalFantasyXII

One thing that struck Larsa upon seeing these cells, rows and rows of them, was that every single one of them was occupied.

Why are there so many prisoners?

It was quite easy for an ardent to avoid arrest for being in a gentry-only space. If an Imperial guardsman caught them, they would simply be given a warning and allowed the opportunity to leave by their own choosing; only refusal to leave the premises would warrant an arrest.

So why this? How could this have happened? Were there truly this many ardents refusing to leave gentry-only spaces? Was it possible that Larsa’s speech about eliminating the Chop System could have influenced this?

Larsa highly doubted that. While the laws were still in place, there were consequences, and most Archadians were not the sort to question authority.

“Penelo,” Larsa frowned, his eyes scanning each and every forlorn face he passed on his way through the hallway. “This is unusual. There normally isn’t this many people arrested for such an easily avoidable crime. I’ve never seen such a high level of occupancy in this section. Something is amiss.”

“You know… When Balthier was caught, he wasn’t given a chance to leave the gala,” Penelo was fidgeting with a ruby ring Augustia had adorned her with as she glanced nervously from one cell to the next. “Rhys had him arrested immediately.”

“What?” Larsa stopped walking, the echoes of his bootsteps ceasing. He gazed over at the cells to his left. “And I’d wager these people were denied that same right. That would certainly explain why there are so many of them.”

In Final Fantasy XVI, Ben Starr voices Clive Rosfield.
In Final Fantasy Tactics, Ben Starr voices Dycedarg Belouve.

Kinda sad we’re not getting Phil LaMarr. He was my perfect Ramza ❤️ Hopefully the new guy is good too. Also this probably means no Kari Wahlgren as Ovelia either 😢
