Stuck on the couch, broken inside and out, and this silly watch band was there for it all. 💔❤️‍🩹😔 I’m a little sad to part with it. It was a part of my life. A horrible part. But also a part that changed me.

Today, I finally swapped my old watch band (colorful) for a new one (purple). That watch band saw me through more trauma than any one item I own. It came with me to the hospital when I shattered my ankle at his memorial. It kept me company when I thought I’d never stop crying.

A very close friend took his own life 2 years ago. I slowly counted all the things about my life that slowly changed after that. I refused to paint my nails or take off that polish I put on the day before you died. It was a calendar. The day my big toe had grown out fully, I cried.

I love fall so much. I've lived in Vermont my whole life and foliage season still seems like such a completely bonkers and beautiful thing to happen every year. It never gets old. 🍂

2/2 She was part Persian which made her fluff very cottony and tangly. Mats were a common issue no matter how much we brushed. The vet told us when we first got her that they believed she’d already been shaved in the past. So finally we opted for her comfort because living with mats is no fun!

Hehe thank you! We named her Aria because the shelter told us she was the only girl in a litter of 4-5 boys and is the one that immediately yells and keeps yelling when she sees a person hehehe. Based on that and me being a music nerd, I decided her ‘singing the song of her people’ made Aria fit!

Since I already shared my cats on your other post. Here’s some of my backyard friends! The big Dino birds are Sandhill Cranes. We live in a wetland area and they love it. 🥰 I have to admit I’m tickled to have them as locals for lots of the year. 😍 They bring their babies too when old enough!

In the first pic of them above, as loafs : Aria is on the left with the gold eyes, she’s the youngest at 4. Jasper is next to her with the green eyes, he is formerly feral and has been my shadow for about 7 years now. Here is Noni, the oldest of our pride at 11. 🥰❤️ Big snuggle bug.
