i don't think it's a bad thing at all for your power fantasy to be "when things go wrong i can simply handle it with no lasting negative effects" but i *do* think too much of that can make a narrative go stale far quicker than just like. letting a fuck up be a fuck up in all its glory

it often really throws me off when characters come in all therapy-speak-y in messy emotional situations or expect perfectly reasonable, rational responses when things go wrong and i'm just like. that's... well it's not boring that's not fair. sometimes it's great and feels really powerful i get it
