Ancient Artifact: Before Google Docs and AO3, this was how my friend and I would "beta read" for each other. I'd write my stuff in a notebook and then between classes my friend would leave feedback in the margins. Pass the notebooks back and forth and bam, no tech necessary

Finished reading Dreams of Joy by Lisa See. I got real anxious for my characters as the time progressed to 1959 rural China, but the journey was amazing. I highly recommend reading Shanghai Girls and Dreams of Joy.

My partner is preparing for his show at an art gallery which is a truncated expression of his portfolio, games that took months and years to develop, distilled down to bite sized arcade experiences, upgraded with tricks and techniques he has learned in his many adventures. I'm really proud of him

The market for "travel Japan with me" influencers is oversaturated. Anytime I watch a TikTok about visiting Japan, I am quickly hit with a few dozen "Japan tip" videos that are the same tired pieces of information. Content is recycled often lacking critical context that verges on misinformation.

Finally finished watching The Handmaid's Tale. It took a while for me to want to finish the series after season 4, but it was a journey worth finishing. I've been more active in my advocacy lately and this type of fiction helps me push through the days I feel too tired to speak out.
