It looked like something was going on with the ice, too. More experienced skaters can correct me on this if I'm wrong, but today the ice looked harder than it has been, like the temp was lowered for speed skating & it threw off the jumps for men's FS. All of them had unusual errors in the free.

Oh Ilia. That was absolutely heartbreaking to watch. I can't even imagine how he feels right now. That result is absolutely NOT an accurate reflection of his skill. It was a bad skate, even the best have them sometimes. Just terrible luck for him. I hope he is kind to himself. Heartbroken for him.
