Corruption of round. Intrusive m arose to denote a degree of rotundity beyond that expressible by round. Twinks objected that the spelling was cringe; chubs said at sufficient circumference, the corruption warranted.
Usage: The fat man was round. The morbidly obese gainer was roumd.
