Glad to have been a part of this event, and to have presented a poster

It has been featured in coursework and bulletin boards: willrosenbaum.com/teaching/202... and wordsandbuttons.online All of this started because, one evening, I was teaching trigonometry to my sister, and I was motivated to come up with an intuitive way to explain trig functions

My work was featured in the top 100 worldwide of Math YouTuber 3Blue1Brown's Summer of Math Exposition II. It was cited in a paper about using augmented reality to improve math textbooks. Every month, it gets ~800 clicks via Google search, ~1500 new users around the globe, and ~18000 impressions

Since December 2020, I’ve been building visualize-it.github.io as part of my science communication and outreach efforts. It features 45 interactive visualizations from math, physics, computer science, and complex systems. If you find it interesting, please repost it! #science #scicomm #education

Sine and Cosine are projections ("shadows") of an angle tracked along a unit circle on the Y-axis and X-axis respectively. Similar explanations exist for (co)secant and (co)tangent: https://visualize-it.github.io/trig_functions/simulation.html

Thanks for making this list. I've previously worked on automaton models of patchy ecosystems near criticality, as well as data-driven models of fish behaviour. I'm currently working on inferring interactions in the gut microbiome. I would love to be included!

Sometimes it is interjected by screentime but I avoid it as much as possible (and also use warmer colors)

They look like voronoi diagrams (well, they probably are)

Beautiful! Can you please elaborate what these plots depict?

The existence of universality classes is so weird.
