The BBC announcing a two part doc on JK Rowling the same week as erasing a “protect the dolls” t-shirt is a pretty clear choice. They’re just full on promoting another network’s show now as long as it’s trans people who pay the price. Good to know, Beeb.

Finished Marvel Mangaverse 2026, I liked it, although I know they are fice one-shots, starting and ending with Web Ofs I assumed the stories in the middle would tie in to the final issue more?

Catching up on some of the announcements from Club Chaos at the weekend: they got rid of Green Amy?!??! The Olympics are ruined.

Olympics merch with Blue Sonic, Black Shadow, Red Knuckles Yellow Tails, and Pink Amy representing the 5 Olympic Rings: Blue, Black, Red, Yellow and Green.

So in the initial merch Amy was Green to match the rings, but instead of doing something interesting with that, they just made her pink.

This is flatly untrue. As of July 11th more than 70% of people detained had no criminal record. The data is here: tracreports.org/immigration/...

Another Double-bill at the cinema today. Went to see Digger, which was perfectly lined up to finish right before Verity started. Unfortunately Digger's trailers and adverts ran long and I couldn't make Verity anymore! So I went to see The Uprising instead.

Nice sunny afternoon, we probably won't have many of them left this year. Better stay indoors watching movies then.

000

You could say, I saw The Social Ray Gunn-ing, right? Right?

000

Then I went across town to see Ray Gunn as part of the LFF and it was incredible! There was one sequence that was a bit silly for my tastes but really overall really strong. I think not knowing anything about it helped with certain twists.

So I wasn't that interested in The Social Reckoning, I don't have a very high opinion of Facebook/IG; I saw Molly Vs The Machines earlier this year, but it would up being the only movie playing when I was available this lunchtime and it really struck me how it's affected people.

Jump forward to about a year ago when they announced FFVII Remake coming to Switch 2, I hadn't found time for FFVII but now I had to before Remake came out. I got a few hours into it but I'm a very casual gamer at this point.

000

Flashforward all the way to the Nintendo Switch era and FFVII port came out. I didn't have the data to download it so I took my Switch to the pub and downloaded it using their wifi, I played the first half an hour and then set it aside until I had proper time to spend on it.

100

My history with Final Fantasy. In the mid-90s I had a Sega Saturn, so I never played FFVII, but even so I was aware its rep as one of the greatest games. In the early 2000s I had a GameCube and played an FF for the first time in the form of Crystal Chronicles, which I liked but is quite different.

Of course, that's me assuming they are selling each AI colour skin for each racer individually, if you can just unlock all the AI skins colours for one racer for 5555, then it drops down to a total of 127.765.

000

And you obviously don't have to buy them all, you might just want an AI skin appropriate for that character, instead of blue Tails, or purple Vector, or pink Amy: you can finally get Green Amy!

100

Sonic Racing Crossworlds: The current AI Skins are 1500 tickets, the new AI skins are 5555. I've been playing for over a year and I haven't bought all the AI skins, they are now introducing 23*7 more for over 3 times the price. Year One: 34,500 Year Two: 894,355

[UNOFFICIAL] Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds News @soniccrossworlds.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Okay, so it looks like Year Two (Nov 26-Dec 27) will be 14 months and there will be one drop a month (either Season Pass or Free) which spreads it out much better. Between Pass Festivals, Free Festivals and Legends Comps, Year One was a little busy, so I actually think this makes a lot of sense.

Sonic Racing Crossworlds Year Two Roadmap, it is split into three periods:
Nov 2026-Mar 2027, Apr-Aug 2027 & Sep-Dec 2027.
The Season Pass Two has Godzilla & Evangelion for period 1, Virtual Sanrio Puroland and Segaland for period 2 and Midgar Pack (working title) and Reload, Revival, Royal for period 3.
There are 8 Free slots, the first 3 are for period 1 and they are Bayonetta, McLaren Racing and Aigis. The remaining 5 Free slots are spread across periods 2 & 3.

FINAL FANTASY REMAKE SERIES X SONIC RACING CROSSWORLDS. JUST ANNOUNCED. #SonicNews

FINAL FANTASY VII X SONIC!?!?!?!?!

100

I guessed Persona, but I guessed the wrong one, maybe that's because I literally know nothing about Persona. And I actually put F1 as one of my wild cards last year, I knew they wouldn't want an actual driver in the game, so is that a Sonic skin or a "new racer"?

[UNOFFICIAL] Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds News @soniccrossworlds.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Sonic Racing Crossworlds Year Two: Sanrio makes a lot of sense, I've seen people suggest that before. Segaland is super cool, but it does kinda feel like it should be in the free updates (same with the console cars which are additional to the pass?)

Year 2 Update releases on November 3rd! Current roadmap for Year 2 DLC

27626

Okay so it just hit me walking home: Sonic Racing Crossworlds is in New York for the Championship finals/Club Chaos, Axel from Crazy Taxi World Tour is in SRC. Crazy Taxi to announce the 4th city of World Tour is NYC at one of the Sonic events today!

Oh, I never got into my take on "What is the Skywalker Saga?" It's the 9 episode films, I think that's super fucking obvious. They started being called a saga in like 1979/80. With ROTS it became the "Complete Saga" and then to incorporate the Sequel Trilogy they rebranded all 9 the Skywalker Saga

000

I feel like this is obvious but tech billionaires are motivated by money, the push for AI is to replace workers. You think they're going to do that and then give us universal income: are you nuts?

000

Although as previously stated I think tomorrow we will be getting the rest of the Year Two Pass announced, which I think is all but confirmed by this image they just sent out for the showcase with 6 Travel Rings, two showing the already announce DLC and 4 mystery ones.

Sonic Racing Crossworlds with 6 Travel Rings. We can see Godzilla Escape and Tokyo-3 in two of them, what could the other 4 be?

David McKay @channel019.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Ulala- Space Channel 5's Ulala, was in the OG Sonic Riders, All-Stars Racing & Transformed. I'm honestly surprised we haven't got her already.

000

Belle & Surge- Year One had an IDW Two-pack so I reckon Year Two will too. Now Surge & Kit feel like the obvious pair to add, but Belle is more popular than Kit so I am adding her instead (nothing said it has to be a pair)

Belle The Tinkerer as seen on Cover B of IDW Sonic #44

Surge The Tenrec on the cover of IDW Sonic #72.

On the one hand, I post this on BlueSky and get no interaction, on the other I post this on Threads and I get people who've never interacted with me before explaining what MY excitement and expectation levels were and are for live-action Doctor Who.

David McKay @channel019.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Shou Amabane- Shou's a personal pick for me, like NiGHTS in Year One, Burning Rangers is one of the games Sonic Team put out on the Saturn instead of doing a "proper" Sonic game. Shou is very cool, and he's 90s cool, the best kind of cool. BR had a track in Transformed, it is time it got a racer!

Episode 5 is the crossover, but we will probably have to cut it. The Christmas special is the doctor-lite.

000

Okay, so the we start episode 1 which is the fourth episode, the classic future/historic episodes 2 & 3 will both be episode 2, episode 3 is the big guest star episode, episode 4 is the pilot, episode 6 is the finale and then episode 7 & 8 are mid-series two parter with a classic monster.

100

That said, it would be cool if the Line Of Duty people got it and they made the show in Belfast, I appreciate how selfish that is, and they should probably keep it in Cardiff.

100

I never really talked about the Doctor Who tender, tbh unless you're in a position to actually make a series of television, I think you're only in a position to talk about it very vaguely, or a very specific outline of what your series 1 would be, neither really contribute to the discussion.

Movie Sonic- Year One had Classic Sonic, so it makes sense Year Two also has another Sonic and with Sonic Movie 4 coming out it only makes sense for it to be him! This wouldn't be the first movie character to transition to a game with Movie Shadow in Shadow Gens.

Sonic, Tails & Knuckles from Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (movie).

Movie Shadow from the Shadow Generations DLC.
