This is doing the rounds, so I do want to re-iterate with as much emphasis as I can, nothing kills my interest in a game faster than seeing AI generated content. And not just because I object to AI on an ethical level, I see it as a huge red flag. Do *ANYTHING* else, draw placeholder MS Paint art.

I will say that since working in game dev, I enjoy that the “what do you do?” small talk with doctors now acts as a gauge for who is and isn’t a gamer, and we can rather talk about games instead of the weather and things like sports 🤣

While I’m finally starting to feel better, I have been enjoying the extra cuddle time I’ve gotten with the cats this week. The down time also let me get in some TCGP battles. Remember to hydrate, kids. And use your sick days. Seriously.

This week has not been fun. What started as feeling sick enough to take a sick day ended me up in the ER. I’m okay but certainly glad to see the week end. Many fluids, blood tests and a CT scan later sent me home with a bag full of meds. I was then horribly sick in bed for the rest of the week.

I'm tired of being asked to speak about how to fix the industry. Genuinely, do white men get interviewed about this? Because I'm over it as a question directed at the people who didn't break it. I don't know. Ask them.

Had my first therapy session for 2025 today. I feel lighter already 🫠🙃🤗 Echo is on the mend. He has his post op check up next week. Hoping he’ll be free of the cone of shame after that.

Chani @chaniza.bsky.social · 02/01/2025

Echo is finally home after ~8 days in hospital and one surgery later. Thankful for all the support received. We’ve got a long recovery ahead but I’m just so happy to have my boy back home again 🥹🥰

Chani @chaniza.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

Any money received via the use of my code or the dono link that doesn't get used directly to this hospital stay, will be used towards Echo's care going forward to avoid this from happening again. I hate asking for money, so thank you, and now you know where it will be going.

I’d normally not play this card, but my cats are my world. Thankfully I’ve got insurance for him that *should* hopefully cover some/most of his medical expenses, but I thought it best to plug my code should you find yourself looking to buy some games.

120

Chani @chaniza.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

We had hoped he would come home today but things didn’t go as smoothly as the vet had hoped, so they’re keeping him in hospital Depending on how the rest of the weekend goes and what the specialists decide on Monday, he may potentially need a surgery.

110

Chani @chaniza.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

As for why my cat Echo is in hospital: Rushed him to the vet on Christmas Day with a suspected blockage despite being on the ideal diet to avoid blockages from occurring. He was admitted and has been taken care of since then.
