Today is the 60th anniversary of when "Mission: Impossible" premiered on CBS. A show very influential to maskers everywhere, being the first live-action TV show to incorporate it. #MissionImpossible

Another thing I really enjoy with masks, when you hide a full head of hair under a bald rubber scalp... even if the hair underneath is ALSO rubber!

I sure enjoy the sense of readiness that comes with wearing one disguise under another... nobody will suspect a thing!

21 years ago, during Europride Oslo, the late Svein Skeid of ReviseF65 helped bring public awareness to real-life masking at a lecture at Oslo University, wearing one realistic latex mask under another for a double reveal. He was very influential and still missed...

Every Pride Month (June), I remember the late Svein Skeid, one of the first to normalize public masking for peacetime purposes. Here are some fun pics of him in disguise at Europride 2005 in Oslo, a bold move in bringing positive awareness to realistic masking.

It's important to stay hydrated when undercover! Sometimes when out incognito I'll duck into somewhere private and just untuck my mask's neck to let the cool air flow underneath. It can be quite a relief while staying disguised!

Hard to believe it was 20 years ago when BASE-jumper Jeb Corliss attempted to glide from the Empire State Building. He wore an elaborate disguise including a really good latex mask with wig that effectively transformed him into a mustached, balding middle-aged man.

Another real face masker in the "Whatever happened to...?" category is this fellow known as "gleamguy." He was another one of the first to actually go out undercover in public for peacetime purposes over 20 years ago, with nobody suspecting he was wearing a disguise!

It's an interesting visual difference, a mask with a good-sized neck nape when it's empty compared to when it's being worn and then the neck is tucked into your outfit...

Wearing a white man mask over my black man mask sure adds an extra flair of surprise upon revealing my latest caper... #unmasking

I've seen a few pretty good silicone masks based on that... www.youtube.com/watch?v=OE-T...

My little disguise has served me well. It would have been too dangerous for the Changeling as-is to mingle with the mobs, gaining information! But, the underworld never guessed that the informer who betrayed them was the character known as -- Patch!

One thing I love about masks like these are how unassuming they are when worn... just another normal face, until one begins tugging and stretching on it to reveal its fake synthetic and elastic nature!

Even when I am in private, I love to make sliding on my disguise masks nice and smooth, like a good spy would.

As a master of disguise, I don't really impersonate anyone in particular; I just like to conceal my own appearance, coming up with fictional identities for my masks.

Greetings; I am the Changeling. I was once a villainous master of disguise, like my mentor and inspiration Fantômas, but a long time back I gave up evil and I now use my many disguises for the betterment of mankind. You will only see my many rubber faces here...
