My favorite made-up x-mas tradition is cooking a super fancy dinner with my partner, the love of my life. =D She's amazing, and together we made an awesome dinner.

My partner and I cook silly fancy dinner on xmas-eve. This year: seared swordfish steaks, topped with local smoked trout roe and served w/ turkey stock and maitake mushroom farro. Sauce deglazed from searing, using the liquid from the farro, wine, and garlic. Paired w/ a 2004 St. Emilion.
