i bought art supplies recently and... there's going to be occasional doodles now and then in this thread! enjoy?

art by the little one. the words on the page aren't written by anyone in particular. the words and the drawings are in crayon, plum ("Test Page!") and carnation pink ("good morning! ^w"). there is a drawing of a nearly featureless feminine face curtained by colorful straight cut sheet-like hair. her eyes are completely pink and rimmed with purple. there are three small dark purple triangles beneath each eye, like makeup, or the implication of large pointed eyelashes. there is no mouth, no nose, only the soft gentle curve that implies a chin and thick neck.

apple cutter.

a short poem in free verse, rendered on a background of an apple on a cutting board. the apple has been mostly peeled; the peel lays loose on the cutting board encircling the apple, in the vague shape of a heart. there is a simple paring knife to the side. the poem reads as follows:
blade to flesh makes you blush in reverse
red flush slips from pale skin leaving
sharp partings but you don't bleed
only sweat and sweet nectar release
my fist wet i peel back the core of you
juice pooling in my palm and i
lick myself unclean thinking
this is still life
i wash my hands of the fruit
but the desire remains
