So @chaiwolfman.bsky.social and I built a deck from scratch and check it out!!! Badass.

A stunning floating deck with a mandala design in the middle

A floating deck with a mandala design in the middle and flower boxes around it

An empty overgrown spot showcasing the before

A perfectly laid deck base with joist tape

Sometime the creative collaborations with @chaiwolfman.bsky.social look like building a deck in a weekend. Two gays, two days, one plum, level, study deck! Happy pride. We so butch!

Before picture of a weedy and rock filled yard

The sexiest deck ever completed. Cedar boards off the back of a sliding door

100 Days of Hope / Painting 100 One hundred days of looking for hope! Focusing on hope every day led me to ask a lot of people what’s giving them hope. Without fail, the answer included the people in their lives. So to everyone showing up, thank you. You give me hope. Let’s keep going. ✌🏼💖🎨

100 Days of Hope / Painting 98 Last night I went to Playfest at Lane and these teens are so talented! We saw five plays written, directed, and acted by students. It’s always a joy to watch Autumn and her friends doing their thing on stage. These young people give me hope. ✌🏼💖🎨

100 Days of Hope / Painting 97 This morning I listened to @govpritzker.illinois.gov speech from the other day in New Hampshire. It filled me with hope to hear that kind of leadership. In the middle he talks about what some people in Illinois are doing and they fill me with hope, too. ✌🏼💖🎨

100 Days of Hope / Painting 96 Today I found hope in starting something new, rearranging the studio so I can work on this wall. The plan is for these six pieces of paper to become one large painting that then becomes 108 small paintings. Will the plans change? Really excited to see how it goes. ✌🏼💖🎨

It isn't that America lacks courage. It's that we’ve become so cut off from one another that many of us feel alone, which makes us feel afraid. But when we are surrounded by courageous people, all of us become more courageous. Courage is contagious.
